OK, A clean install of the 32bit build to USB seems to have helped a lot with the Beelink, but the MiniMX clone hangs most of the time, regardless 64/32bit usb/sd (not game to try internal) :s
-
Because I recommend it in the first post?LOL - Aha! That must be it then I was actually thinking of a different util, so Rufus IS an image writer.
*Ahem* carry on chaps . . . -
unfortunately the boot faiilure issue is still there...Still there on one of my MiniMX clones too (the other is OK)
The Beelink now hangs on a black screen, immediately after the boot screen has gone off, with this build but didn't seem to have a problem with build .010
-
used Rufus to make it bootable on a usbWhy are you using Rufus at all?
Extract the LibreELEC-S905.aarch64-7.0.3.010.img from the LibreELEC-S905.aarch64-7.0.3.010.img.gz download, and write that to the USB drive with Win32DiskImager or similar - done.

@kszaq Just ignore it then, OK
-
Should explain it.Explains it nicely, thanks
-
What is the purpose of the 7.0.3.010-USB-Revert build?
(Can't seem to find a post about it, but it's with the downloads) -
link to Pirate Kodi sellerYou've got me intrigued - What defines the 'Pirate Kodi seller'.
Is it something to do with licensing? Or is anyone that includes Kodi with these boxes a Pirate seller? -
Is anyone with booting issues able to grab me a log over serial console? No problem with the 64bit build but, the 32bit version gives me intermittent freezes at the ROM boot screen.
Got no log - sorry

Don't try to install it to NAND, you'll get the same result.Ok thanks
-
Even a clean install to SD won't work - just get a boot loop.
Not game enough to try clean install to nand -
i have random mac address at every startThis'll sort that out for you
-
Arghh! Boot Loop (I'll try again)
[hr]
Both 2016-12-01 versions bootloop here
Mind you v7.0.2.7 works great, so no problem -
@kszaq
I understand that these boxes detect the capabilities of the TV during boot, apparently prior to setting resolution.
As a result, since my TV takes around 10 seconds to initialise itself whilst the box boot process begins instantly, there is a blank screen until the LE splash screen is shown.
I am using Harmony remotes and presently work around this by delaying the MiniMX powerOn by 10 seconds (which, naturally, delays the whole start process by 10 seconds). Is there any way to supply the box with preset configuration and skip the auto detection?

I'm referring to the initial boot logoUse Update-Zip-Packager to replace logo.img
(I presume you are already able to package logo.img, as you are successfully replacing the boot logo in Android)
Or you could just change the boot logo as you are now, since installing LE doesn't change the initial boot image
-
Is there anyway to change the boot logo when using 7.0.2.009?Which boot logo? There is the Rom boot logo, then the LE splash screen, then the Kodi splash screen
They all happen at boot time -
my box doesn't seem to support booting from USB
Try a good quality, fast SD card
