suspend doesn't work properly
I thought that it had been established that Suspend, on cheap Chinese devices was temperamental.
The workaround, since as long as I can remember, has been to use PowerOff.
Has the suspend issue been fixed somewhere along the line (and recently broken again)?
Is the 'Update Notification' setting supposed to work?
I guess not then
8.0.1i re-uploaded with fixed SPDIF sound.
Thanks kszaq
can anyone please advise if a SD / USB install method of LibreElec will work on a M8S+ - S905X Box? Are there any guides I can follow?
From Opening Post:
LibreELEC 8.0 builds aimed at devices based on Amlogic S905/S905X SoC.

Hope the autoupdate will not start when whatching a movie
I don't think it will auto update at all.
It only works for me when updates are set to manual, so I think you're safe
Hmm must be missing some setting, somewhere.
DOH! Didn't have the Update Channel set to 8.0 LOL
ONLY works with Manual updating though, right?
Works fantastic. Thanks a lot!
On which device? Does nothing on my x96 (905X 2/16)
Tried ALL combinations of Updates Manual / Auto
Custom Channel update.php / update.php / updateAll.php / updateAll.php
downgraded to LE 8.0.1e. Reset after reset - nothing
just wondering where I would find the img file for the mxq s812 m10 m8s v1.0 20150729
I'm guessing probably not in the [8.0.1g] LibreELEC 8.0 for S905/S905X thread
I am happy to hear, I am not the only guy with that issue.
You horrible person! ( kidding)
You really cant expect people to read 156 pages??
Some forums are stricter than others and will ignore posts asking for info that is already available.
I guess they figure that if you have an issue but can't be bothered to look for yourself for the answer, then they don't waste their time repeating information.
Fortunately this forum, so far, has been much more forgiving, repeating themselves over and over for those that don't like 'wasting their time' reading old posts (which is particularly fortunate, since the search facilities available are useless most of the time)
With 156 pages , this thread becomes unreadable.
It's not unreadable, I've had to wade through all of the readable posts, several times, to find the solution to an issue that has already been solved. Granted, it a labourious task - but it's not unreadable
Same here. After rebooting I have to calibrate everything again.
Once again, amazed at the lightning fast fix kszaq.
Issue resolved in the LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.0-devel-20170409011740-r25791-g1fb98dc build - Thanks
no calibration settings survive a reboot

If you have the Adjust Display Refresh Rate option set to Always or On Start/Stop then to ensure your screen stays correctly calibrated you would need to calibrate in KODI Settings/System each rersolution refresh rate screen and then of course when it switches display modes it should keep you with a calibrated correct screen. You will need to do that for all the resolutions and refresh rates that you find you need to do it for.
That is the case with all builds prior to e but, with this build (which lists the fractional refresh rates under video calibration), no calibration settings survive a reboot

Edit: Ok, sorry, false alarm. For some reason in Settings/Player the option "Adjust display refresh Rate" needed to be turned off. It was set to "On Start/Stop" and that never made any difference in the past. It does now
Indicating that there wasn't a problem before, but is now (ie not a false alarm)
