Thanks Kszaq and all the le team, it's wonderful to have such a great resource for these Amlogic boxes.
I have an MXQ Pro 4k s905x device, everything worked right off the bat, even the audio from the av out is always active.
The only issue I have is that mp3 and flac playback drops out for up to a second at a time. It's sporadic and unpredictable. These files are on a local drive.
Streaming audio and video doesn't seem to be affected.
Any thoughts?
The raspberry pi kit looks good, I hadn't thought of looking for something like that.
Hopefully the adhesive I applied won't have cured completely.
So I recently got LE set up on an MXQ pro 4k.
Originally, the temps reported in Kodi and Android were heading north of 90°C. So I popped it open, and was surprised to find the most basic of heatsinks - basically a thin strip of metal glued to the chip.
So I ripped a heatsink off an old graphics card, and stuck it on with some heatsink plaster.
Now the temps hover between 70° and 80° C depending on load.
Still seems very high, although there isn't any problems with stability, and the subjective temperature outside the case doesn't seem too hot.
Anyone else have similar temps, or anything to add?
