We also do not need braille here.
Try an early OpenELEC version for 32bit.

I'm using a upnp server.
This may be your problem. By default, UPnP doesn't support external subtitle files AFAIK.
Things may have improved but stopped trying UPnP connections years ago.
One way would be to remux the video files with the subtitles as internal, for example with the application MKVtoolnix. But that's probably a time-consuming effort for you. Doing one video as a test would be useful.
And yes, LibreELEC only supports 64bit x86 hardware for our Generic build.
QuoteI have problems installing libreelec
So why isn't the rest of your post also in English?
This is an English-only forum, so please use a translation service for any subsequent post if necessary.
Not to be very picky, but there is a difference between MB/s , Mb/s and mb/s.
I hope you mean the correct one.
Which is "better"... Hmm
Raspberry Pi has much more community support worldwide than the Arduino, although the RPi4 has basically a new start because if its different design.
So it is normal behavior to start a video, pause, go the subtitles, search, download and continue the video?
I use 'F7' via a keymap change to summon the subtitle download window directly. But I don't know of any automatic method.
I only know of the "Auto download first subtitle" option.
Bringing up the subtitle download window automatically is not default Kodi behavior.
Perhaps you were using an add-on for that? Or is it Addic7ed-specific functionality?
Currently, Kodi uses TheMovieDB be default for both movies and TVshows as there have been a number of problems in the past when scraping TV show episodes. You can still use TVDB, but .. YMMV as they say, but fanart shouldn't be a problem. Perhaps the URLs of them simply changed over time. But since you already did a reset, I'd start with the defaults.
Keep your media disk unplugged for now just to be sure, and you can install the new LibreELEC via a USB stick.
What sort of hardware is in that HTPC? The graphics card is the most important player for Kodi.
I disable any logging when the nuc is in idle to avoid unnecessary writes. Thats why there is such a gap.
Not very helpful. If you want to properly debug a problem, we need all the info possible:
1 - Enable debugging
2 - Restart Kodi/Libreelec for a clean log
3 - Reproduce the problem.
It's not that difficult.
Sometimes LibreELEC isn't for everyone. Sometimes a bit of tweaking is necessary. NUCs can be a bit stubborn.
If Windows 10 "works" for you, then simply stick to it. Use the tools that work for you, I always say.
Enclosed please find the complete debug log.
Complete means also not cutting out parts of the log file.
Perhaps this is a solution for your USB connections: STICKY: If you have a Raspberry Pi 4 and are getting bad speeds transferring data to/from USB3.0 SSDs, read this - Raspberry Pi Forums
Does Anyone have an idea why the playback won't start?
Please always provide the FULL Kodi log file, not just the part(s) that you find interesting.
Gotta start somewhere, might as well be with a full kodi log file.
I found that you can migrate, but the information on youtube is outdated.
Perhaps Youtube is not your best of news/source material, it's better to get it from us instead.
And yes, OpenELEC is a dead project for at least 4 years now.
if I do a full install so to speak, what about my library on my htpc? I am afraid it will wipe it out.
Yes, it will... -IF- you are not using a remote MySQL database. I'm also hoping that are you do not have your media (videos, music) collection on the same OpenELEC pc, but elsewhere on an external disk (USB, NAS, whatever). Right?
So when you are using the default local database, it's recommended that you do a Video Library Export, so all metadata will be stored in nfo files next to the respective videos (the same applies to the music collection). But first, you will need to enable the watched status and resume points in your advancedsettings.xml file, in order to save that info before you do that export. After that, do a Backup via OpenELEC's Settings Add-on. If you know how to also copy files from your OpenELEC setup manually, that would also be a bonus.
Since the system partition of LibreELEC has grown over time, you cannot simply upgrade from OpenELEC to LibreELEC. A full/clean install in mandatory. That said, since you are running such an old setup, it isn't a bad idea to start fresh altogether, as it will get you a cleaned up video library and refreshed thumbnail cache folder. As long as you did the Video Library Export, rescraping your media collection should be pretty fast as all metadata is already available. No need for Internet access there. And you will get rid of any unnecessary old clutter.
