Not really. Kodi (and LibreELEC) is designed to be a application CLIENT. It is not meant to be a server. It does have SMB because Windows supports it basically as its only sharin, Linux can do both SMB and NFS quite easily. NFS server is not implement in LE because it would add to LibreELEC becoming bloated.

If you want/need more dedicated diskspace on your SDcard, I would first kick out NOOBS.
LibreELEC's own system partition is 512MB, I don't know where the SETTINGS partition comes from/ Is that from NOOBS? Cause having separate partitions for settings and storage using LibreELEC is not gonna happen so easy (if at all).
I think repairing using a Windows box is better/easier in this case, so have you tried a file recovery program, such as Recuva?
BTW, files disappearing from a drive that is written to is one thing, but no more files on the source drive is stranger to me.

Not entirely, you will have different MAC addresses for the network cards (cable and wifi and bluetooth). But those should be initialised pretty quickly.

v9.2.5 is just a day old. The automatic "OTA" update is usually activated after 7-10 days, just in case a major showstopper in the new version.
If you want to update now you can do so manually. Download the correct RPi4 file, place it in the .update folder, and reboot.
I see the drives are recognized and mounted, so that's a good start. They are being mounted as read-only though. Perhaps your Windows session wasn't closed properly, or things were still in suspend or hibernation mode. Or possibly one or more disk errors are present on your HDDs. I would double-check the disks on a Windows machine first.
After that, in Kodi, use the browse function in Videos, or Kodi's File Manager itself, and locate the drives via the /var/media path.

I haven't heard any updates or changes being done in the ripping section of Kodi. It's a feature that was thought to be removed anyway.
Personally I have never used that option in Kodi (or XBMC), not in the least because there are far better CD ripping applications available, such as CDex. After that, Kodi can import simply 'scrape' the .mp3 files in the usual manner.
Alternatively, you can create a ticket in Kodi's Bug Tracker with all full logs and details.

That is correct. LibreELEC's system partition is configured by default as read-only. Normally there is no reason for people to poke in that partition.

I hope you have shutdown Windows 10 properly, as any drive that is still in suspend or hibernation mode, or that has drive errors, may not be mounted by Linux (=> LibreELEC).

"Use the right tools for the job" is one of those mottos. If that means having to go (back) to a RPi-3B+ for proper 3D mvc usage, then so be it.
Team Kodi and LE have seen their teams been reduced with a couple of members, not in least with mr. Milhouse recently stepping down. I understand that the RPi-4 is a totally different animal, it's not a bigger copy of the RPi3 gpu, with also the Raspberry Pi team needing to do their bit when it comes to new video drivers etc. The whole development process has slowed down. Of course it's something we had rather not seen happening.

LibreELEC runs from a USB stick as well, not as installer but as a Kodi-installed device.
