I wanted to try to dump or flash a new firmware but i failed..
Erm... How is this related to LibreELEC software?
You're absolutely not interested in other people who want to help.
Actually, we are. But the level of help that you have tried offering isn't helping others. Most of us here have been working with XBMC, OpenELEC, Kodi, LibreELEC for close to 20 years. I think we have a pretty good idea by now where Kodi and LibrELEC problems can start.
Also, this is the forum of the LibreELEC team, it's not your personal yelling platform, where you can intrude as you please. Internet forums have a certain etiquette.
The attitude you just showed is not welcome here. Constructive criticism is of course welcome, but your 'help' and criticism turned into yelling at those creating the LibreELEC product. Your previous topic accused us of removing certain options in the new version. That was also totally unfounded. That's a pattern we want to avoid.
Perhaps you can take a breather and for the time being stick to getting your own Kodi setup to work properly. In case of another outburst towards LibreELEC Team Members, your forum account will be closed promptly.
but vpn is neded to change the country
Kodi / LibreELEC is not here to actively help you circumvent Netflix's DRM methods.
FYI, Netflix also has stepped up its own anti-VPN measures.
One has to be a rocket scientist to be able to configure this thing!
Kodi is an acquired taste, for over 15 years including its XBMC period.
/usr/share/kodi/addons/skin.estuary/xml/Font.xml
No, that is not the correct file to edit. You are now referring to a file that is installed as a system font. You CAN edit the file, but with any upcoming update (certainly in LibreELEC) this file will be overwritten with the new version. The fact that the file is readonly is for a reason: the entire OS is readonly, simply to prevent people unfamiliar with Kodi to mess up the operating system.
Every setting that need change must be created/edited in the userdata/ folder.
So how in the world can I make fonts bigger and readable from my sofa?!
Well, a good fitting keyboard+mouse cushion will certainly help.
But to be clear, the amount of slack for increasing the size of fonts is limited, and also dependent on the selected Kodi skin.
this RPI4 thing... Jesus Christ, do you think non developers would ever be able to configure it?!
Do you think you can, from now on, put on a more friendly face? I cannot imagine that me and my colleagues at Kodi and LibreELEC will be very enthusiastic to spend our own FREE time to help the grumpiest "customer" since quite a while.
@camelreef I have replaced the image with a text link in your signature.
The thumb image was still just a bit too much "in your face" when you have more than one post in a forum thread.
was it enabled by default ?
No. It never is enabled by default, just to prevent people who are 'less computer-friendly' (such as children) to wreck the family video collection if they have the chance.
So, thanks for blatantly accusing us of removing the option. It truly was a heartwarming comment from a "nice guy".
First of all, LibreELEC has no onboard NFS server. There is only a SMB server available.
Perhaps you can construct a NFS server somehow via a Docker setup.
Do you have the option "Allow file renaming and deletion" enabled in LE 10 as well ?
Thank you, but i dont want to scrap anything, i only want to play something
No, i have problem with scrapping.
I think you need to make a decision here. DLNA in Kodi only works with videos/movies that were scraped into the libraries.
And i dont know how to scrap the entire library.
I already have given you a URL link with a mountain of information on how-to scrape a media collection into Kodi. I suggest you calmly read all that over the weekend. For music, make sure your mp3 files are properly tagged with correct and consistent info/data.
NOTICE: ADDON: plugin.program.indigo v5.0.00 installed
There is still a souvenir of a piracy add-on active on your setup. Better remove it first as such things can disrupt Kodi's core functionality.
You also run a Docker setup. It wouldn't be the first time that database data is 'misinterpreted'. I have no Docker experience with Kodi, so others will have to step in here.
On top of that, Kodi 18 is a previous major version for which there will be no further updates.
My machines access a central MySQL database that is years old so there may well be some bloat in the tables
- Backup your current MyVideos database, delete the Textures13.db file and the Thumbnails folder.
- Do a Video Library Export using separate nfo files (don't forget to activate watch status & resume point in the AS.xml file).
- Drop your video database, reactivate it via your sources, and start the import of your video collection
That should refresh your video database contents. Thumbs not loading could be because of outdated URLs after TMDB's cleanup.
Anything video related with kodi/libreelec may have improved over the years, but running an internet browser within Kodi or LibreELEC is another matter. It's a highly requested feature, but so far many attempts to implement a decently running Chrome/Chromium have failed, let alone support for proprietary software solutions like Gamepass Streaming.
I needed dlna for TV and internet radio but the solution remains to use a USB memory support connected directly to the device.
I think you have the wrong idea about what UPnP and DLNA does.
Nothing on libraries so nothing on dlna.
Kodi's usage of DLNA is based on whatever is in the video and/or music libraries. So "scraping" your media collection into Kodi's databases is your first order of business. You can read about it here: https://kodi.wiki/view/Quick_start_guide#Library_Mode
I'm still a bit concerned about AV1 support in general tbh,
One of Kodi's dev team always suggested to not spend a big amount on hardware that has to last at least 5-10 years, but only a small(er) amount to keep up with the requirements at that moment for 1-2-3 years.
IPTV providers in my country don't even use h265/hevc yet. AV1 is not that wide-spread with content providers, certainly when not all hardware manufacturers are eager enough with its implementation) so I would skip on that.
Personally I don't even have a need right for HDR yet (still need to find the right TV/monitor), so I use a simple Intel Gemini Lake (J5005 Pentium Silver) M-ITX board for my office and HTPC needs.
I tried to create ~/.bash_profile, but it might be badly located or badly named
It's just .profile, not something with bash.
