3. I ran into lip sync issues when playing video
Just the lips, or every other audio part as well?
You could start by changing the audio offset value, and if necessary, save the setting for all videos.

Just FYI... We prefer to use the built-in pastebinit tool in LibreELEC to upload logs and/or texts.
Also because it's no fun scrolling through log files via a letterbox on this forum
So, something like the following examples will be appreciated.
Nice to see what a bit of bash scripting can do :"-)
If it "works" for you, that's all for the better.
Doublecheck the HDD for disk errors. And also check if drive is still is suspend or hibernation mode.
Linux is not very picky before mount in such situations.
Ragnaroek: You can use the built-in pastebinit command for the various text listings.
So, after the disk checks, return the URLs for the following commands:
Also, if you want to use the HDD permanently in your LibreELEC htpc, I myself would format the HDD as EXT4, not NTFS. That is, if the HDD is still empty. EXT4 is the default disk format for Linux today.
This would make connecting to wi-fi for example easier
In what way? You can enter the LE Settings addon, and see which other signals are there.
The connect process isn't that much difficult.
Channel lists of 4,000+ channels are usually of the not-so-legal variety.
But, your question is more a general Kodi question rather than a specific LibreELEC question. I suggest you visit the Kodi forum and ask further.
After 278 posts on this forum, you should know by now that such a small problem description does at least need a full kodi.log, as well as some info on your setup, such as AV receivers and other possible hardware.
Also inevitable, did you check up video and audio sync options?
Dual screen support is limited to screen cloning only.
If you want Kodi on a single screen only, set the correct monitor in the Settings / System / Display / Monitor selection, and enable the option "Blank other displays", and reboot so settings are stored.
Using the 'old' M2 ssd will probably work. Network settings are based on hardware, so that might give a hiccup at first.
HEVC 10bit is not being supported yet, it is officially planned for Kodi Leia. There are a couple of "proof of concept" builds floating around though.
All in all, Kaby Lake is still very new hardware, so 'YMMV' so to speak.
4K TV = proper 16:9 afaik, as is 1920x1080. So, black bars should not happen.
Unless you are viewing video content that is more of the 2:35 : 1 variety, as in a 21:9 aspect ratio. 21:9 normally gives black bars above and below the video.
Try pressing the 'z' key for different zoom options. Also see if the zoom scaling is correct.
Any Nvidia card from 8400GS and upwards has some kind level of video acceleration.
Via the legacy and/or the new video drivers installed.
I prefer a passively cooled gfx card for a simple HTPC: GT520/610/710, that sort of cards.
Please define "pre-configured".
Pre-configuration is something different from "it doesn't work properly"
Why don't you start by installing LibreELEC onto the sd card?
I'm sure your calender will be able to provide the answer to your question.
Some people have no humor. Yes, websites go down for maintenance or other unforseen events from time to time. Shit happens.
You could try using a bootable USB stick with a Ubuntu Live ISO running.
Then you can copy the correct files manually to LE's boot partition on the HDD/SSD.
Or take out the HDD/SSD from your htpc and put it into a different PC.
If you're without Linux skills, then it's probably best to do a fresh, new installation onto your PC.
Doing a spring cleaning install of Kodi has its perks anyway.
