Just SSH into the LE box and type 'poweroff'.
Or perhaps the internal webserver page can do something similar (I never use that).

Since when do S905(x) devices need to suspend?

I can't see the problem. Could be some weird network/samba problem.
What if you started the scan a few times?
Are some of the previosly unadded films added then? -
There is no crystal ball here.
Please upload a full kodi.log file that shows playing your 'home video(s)'. -
Please note that we prefer to have logs or other text snippets uploaded with LE's built-in pastebinit tool, or pasted onto pastebin.com (or the pastebin website of your choice). It makes reading logs a lot easier on big display, and not via a letterbox view in the forum. Thanks in advance.

If it doesn't exist, just create it in the /storage folder.

FYI: actually, the RPi can do HEVC 1080p upto a reasonable level.

You can (de)select a number of skip steps in the Kodi GUI itself.
If you want to have different step times altogether, you will have to dive into Kodi's source code.No idea what a wireless remote keyboard has to do with all this.

Will the above include the fanart images? Those images are stored in the Thumbnail folders.

I dont now about This policy...Well, now you do. See Kodi's Official Piracy Policy for more information.
Also see Official:Forum rules - Official Kodi Wiki point 2.5 .You can restart with a fresh setup of LibreELEC, without the external addons. If your files then still don't play, contact us again.

This is more a Linux question than a LibreELEC question. Google is your friend here.
How To Copy Files With Rsync Over SSH | DigitalOcean
The rsync command can be used in the autostart.sh file.
You may need a pause/sleep command to wait for all network stuff is up. -
You have multiple banned repositories/add-ons installed, which is against Kodi/LibreELEC policy.
So naturally, support stops here. -
"Sometimes a black screen"
Could be anything... A HDMI cable with hair fractures or some other hardware failure.
I'm not yet convinced it's a software problem.Start with giving us a kodi.log file.
-
Let's start with a full kodi.log file, and see if anything comes up.
-
Honestly, I am not familiar with all the repositories and subsequent add-ons you have installed. But I wouldn't be surprised if one or some of them are a bad influence on Kodi's internal operations. So why no start with a clean setup and see if the problem still occurs.

Wierd... Something must be wrong at your end.
