The Generic version is the first expected version, but running an SQL server on a low-powered device would have its benefits as well.

I removed the 'Latest Beta' line from your signature, as it is basically worthless info. 'Latest' isn't a version number, and it can change at any time. And also most people are simply forgetful about updating their forum signature.

Just state the correct version/build number, so people won't have to guess what it is.

Run a full 'checkdisk' in any case.

According to one of the dev's, Linux 4.18+ and Mesa 18.2+ should be enough for running graphics on the 200GE apu.

Milhouse's Generic build is currently at Linux NUC 4.19.12, so that should more than enough.

Can you test the AMD box on a regular PC monitor instead of a TV?

Enable debugging first, power off, connect the monitor, restart LibreELEC.

If you still get a black screen, provide us the full log file via a pastebin website, so we can have closer look.

What did you edit it with? Not every Windows editor is Linux-EOL compatible.

Routers usually have simple SoC's ('cpu / chips'), so don't look for high server performance using a router.

As said, SMBv1 is an unsecure file protocol, but it's possible that your router has no other option.

You can try select SMBv1 in the LibreELEC Add-on as the minimum version. SMBv2 is default.

The fact that you need to stop and restart Kodi forcibly when you are editing things manually is simply because Kodi (over)writes its settings to the guisettings.xml file during shutdown.

Some Raspberry Pi power adapters don't deliver on their 'promises'. A RPi3B+ requires at least a 2.5 Amp adapter, in case of decoding 720p1080p HEVC videos. Using separate power supplies is recommended IMO.

Nope, no caching is kept. Only graphics thumbnails are being stored on the local LibreELEC partition.

Connecting a harddisk to a router usually involves the SMBv1 protocol, because not many routers will be updated to the much more secure SMBv2 (or 3) protocol. SMBv1 is like a swiss cheese, too many holes to keep your data save.

If it's just one harddisk. why not connect it directly to your RPi3B+ and forget about about network connections?

Oh, it's a screensaver add-on.

The log still looks incomplete. It has stopped right after listing the sound devices... Also any interaction of your Slideshow Screensaver is not listed (although it possible that this add-on is not that 'talkative' with log entries).

Please also enable debugging so that more detailed info is displayed. Then restart LibreELEC, let the slideshow do its thing, wait for a couple of minutes, and then provide the new log file.
