As per LibreELEC forum rules, please remove all video piracy repositories and their related add-ons from your Kodi device before asking for support.

Please provide a full debug log.

How to post a log (wiki)

    1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging
    2. Restart Kodi
    3. Replicate the problem
    4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)

use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link

LibreELEC with Kodi 18 is not out officially, so I have no idea which exact build you are now using.

You can start by providing us a kodi.log file, so we can see what we are dealing with. Because "it doesn't work" is not really a bug report.

Please provide a full debug log.

It seems like you missed a couple of things when censoring your log file. Stuff from banned 3rd party add-ons can mess up Kodi's core functionality pretty badly. Why not make a fresh start without the crap repos and see if things work normally?

As per our forum rules, support will not be given to users with compromised setups.

See the orange items here: hastebin

I have the pretty good idea that your setup is still containing a couple of remaining modules from banned add-ons. Removing repos and add-ons is one thing, removing their dependencies and/or modules is a bit tougher. Next time, familiarize yourself with our forum rules, and provide a clean setup next time you want support.

Personally I'd start with a clean setup when LibreELEC 9.0 comes out (soonish), and start adding only the official add-ons one by one to see who is the troublemaker.

I think it's a real shame that I haven't received an answer yet. Even a negative answer would at least be desirable.

Well, because it's pretty difficult for us or others to mimic your whole network setup. Apparently not everyone is having samba connect problems, otherwise there would be so many more complaints on this forum. There are so many possible variables in reproducing these delays.

If only Microsoft wasn't so damn casual with addressing and solving the SMB vulcano in the first place, things would have been a lot easier IMO.

BTW: ever tried NFS instead of SMB? There are NFS servers for Windows too.

AFAIK for mysql server, password encryption is a one-way street. If it were that easy, hackers would have a blast.

Only if you press the OK button, the new password values will be stored, otherwise the old/current ones will be used.

If the addon update auto-changes the new passwords, then there would be problem.
