this cant be that hard, dozens of people have ir remotes running.
when i am connected via,putty the command to test if ir signals are received would help a lot.

in OSMC you can navigate to config, select a predefined remote and it works, that was the reason why i moved all my rpi media centers from libreelec to osmc.

i used OSMC before, but i bought a rpi 4, which is not yet supported by osmc.
So i installed libreelec again, setup is ok, tvheadend running.
I am struggling to setup a Samsung smart TV Remote.
Is there a step by step guide for dummies ?!
