OK, no answer at all is a bit disappointing to be honest.

For people with the same or a similar problem:
I decided I don't want the same crap as with all my other OSs before (Kodibuntu, yavdr, etc.), wasting a lot of time to make everything work. I've bought this and it works immediately after pluging the little receiver in the USB-port. Maybe someone is searching a good remote control and needs an advice .

    Hello everyone.

First of all, thank you very much for LibreElec, I've been using yaVDR for a very long time and tried different Kodi-flavors afterwards and the only one working "out of the box" was LibreElec. I've already donated because it's great that you managed to create this nice piece of software.

The only problem I have at the moment is: Back on yaVDR I installed and configured lirc. I have a "Homebrew"-device which means some IR-receiver that is connected to the serial port of my motherboard. I am completely lost how to start configuring it in LibreElec.

Here is what I did so far (might be completely bullsh*** because I did't find a documentation or hints):
I added lirc and lirc_serial in a new file called lirc.conf in \Configfiles\modules-load.d\ and now when I type

I see that obviously the modules are loaded.

    But when I type

    Code
    Kodi-TV:~ # ir-keytable -p lirc
Couldn't find any node at /sys/class/rc/rc*.

Now this is the starting point of this howto so now I am already lost. I read a lot about this error but as LibreElec is completely different from Ubuntu or other Linux OSs I don't know where to start now. Any hint would be really appreciated, thanks a lot.

Edit: I'd also accept any recommendations for buying a new IR-receiver. Is there any which works out of the box or maybe with a few steps? I just don't want to buy a new USB-IR-receiver and then end in the same situation again. Thank you!
