    Hi all,

I have an Chinese made generic remote USB/Bluetooth, the OK / Select button doesn't work. I'm trying to remap the button. I have the hwdb file created with the help from this post, the only thing i'm not sure about is what to name the file. Could something help me.

below is the info from the device.

Don't think the S905X has GigE functionality in the SoC (the S905D does - which is why the Vero switched from the 100Mbs S905X of the Vero 4K to the S905D for the Vero 4K+ to add GigE)

If an S905X device is being sold with GigE it's either using an on-board USB2.0->GigE adaptor (with ~300Mbs max throughput) or it's a mistake in the specs...

S905X does not have GB Ethernet (some S905, S905D and most S912 devices do). I have never seen or heard of an S905X with an internal USB card for GB Ethernet. Far east Android box vendors are well known for copy/paste spec. errors :)

thanks for the feedback, the box actually has the s905x2 soc. done some googling on it and everywhere is saying it has Gigabit Ethernet.

if not this box, would you have any recommendations. just looking for something that Gigabit Ethernet and future support

    Hi all,

    I have a mecool m8s pro l S912 3G RAM 100mb NIC. Only image i can get to boot is the LibreELEC-S912.arm-9.0-devel.

Only thing thats not working is the LAN connection, picks up the wireless fine. Have tried various different device trees from the dtb folder, but no luck.

Any ideas what i could try to get the LAN working?

    Cheers

    Paul

Isn't that enough? If you're running Libreelec, who cares if it comes with Android 5.1? The CPU/GPU are the same, it's the Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth etc what makes a box stand out. But I must agree that these are too pricy. I'd rather pay $30 and 5$ for a USB wifi adapter ;)

p.s. I just received my USB 3.0 gigabit Ethernet adapter from China. I have 4K demos that don't run smooth on the 100mbit LAN port of my t95n nor on the 100mbit port of my TV, but with this adapter they run smooth on my t95n (speedtest reports 255 / 155 on my internet connection).

So for those who 'need' gigabit (although 99% of my 4K demos run fine on 100mbit), this is a 5$ performanceboost.

Well for me, i'm currently an old mxq 805 something and streaming some m3u channels and i'm finding the moving between channels very buggy and sluggish. My thinking is something with a better chip and more ram should help. Currently not wired, but that may change down the road. Also a 5ghz wifi is a must.

Do you know, are there any 2.4/5ghz wifi adapters available as an upgrade if i go for a cheaper box without 5ghz? Also is there much of a performance upgrade if i go for one of the 912 or 905d chips. And just for kicks, whats the name on the LAN adapter you pick up ;)?

    Cheers

    Paul
