Ah, OK. The latest LE betas have been pretty solid for the RPi4, though. Best LE for the RPi4 so far.
So, with the next RC the mentioned OOM fixes will be included?

No name, just 9.97.1 (could indeed be release candidate?)
9.97.1 showed up on the LibreElec betachannel. I was expecting beta6 coming, is it released by mistake or are the OOM fixes included and because of that starting over again at beta1?
OK, i‘ll wait to test them when b6 arrives
I experienced these „tearing“ too in a movie and thought it was a encoding error.
Will these decoding fixes be included in LE 10 beta 6?
LE 10 beta is BY FAR the best version for our Raspberry4, if you can live without deinterlacing.
Great work Dev-Team!
Ah, OK. Thank you.
Great! Which further improvements to the fix were added after the settings addon which is within 10b4?
i discovered that LE 10b4 is in the update channel
is the updated LE settings included?
OK, thanks for the heads-up!
Success. The crash on performing a backup through the LE Settings Addon is fixed with that test version
ApexDE You can test the updated settings addon from Testing LibreELEC-settings addon · Issue #4547 · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub.
But IMO there will be no improvement until the OOM issue of the RPI4 kernel is fixed.
I had no OOM problems with LibreElec 9.2 so i am willing to try out. But i have the libreelec .settings plugin in
/usr/share/kodi/addons/
If i install it in /storage/.kodi/addons/ like you described on github, will the newer one be used instead of the one already in
/usr/share/kodi/addons/? I have NO libreelec.settings plugin installed in /storage/.kodi/addons/ currently.
Ah, OK. So i will look forward to b4 then
Any experience on 10b3 regarding the crash on Backup?
I also recognized that on the clean installed RPi there is a nice new movie tag on the upper left side of the screen during Playback while opening the Player Menu. Haven‘t found this in settings yet on my second RPi. Where can this be activated/deactivated?
Could you post a screenshot of this movie tag?
performing a tar-backup via ssh commandline and copying that backup file over samba to a remote pc works (size: 4-5 gigabyte)
i believe it‘s not the same bug, because i can copy large files over samba without problems but can‘t make backups.
Any comments from the devs?
