I have a WeteK Play OpenElec Box. This is currently running OpenElec Version 7.01 with Kodi 16.1. The CPU is ARMv7 Processor rev 0(v71).
My question is how can I upgrade and change this to the latest version of LibreElec which I believe is 8.0 running Kodi 17.1.
Any guidance welcome.

I am running LibreElec 7.0.3 on a Venz V10 Pro. The Architecture is Venz.arm and the device is V10Pro_DB.
I am trying to figure a way of updating this to version 8.0 ( Kodi Krypton )
I have installed LibreElec Development updater by Leopold - but this will not run. It loads comes up with an error message.
Any ideas please.

Thanks Guys- I will assume that for now any upgrade is unnecessary, and wait for news from Venz. My experiences with Kodi 17.1, so far have not been good. I prefer to stick with Jarvis.

I have a "Venz" V10 pro media Box. This is running the dual boot facility, with Android and LibreElec. The LibreElec version is 7.0.3 and is running Kodi Jarvis 16.1.
The Kodi website says that we have to upgrade to Kodi Krypton, because the support for HTTPS is being withdrawn.
As a result I have two questions, is this upgrade really necessary, if yes - how do I go about it ?.

I have a Gostreamer G8 Box Running Linux / Librelelec Kodi 16.1.
As a tester I decided to revert this Box back to it's Android Status. I downloaded the appropriate software from Gostreamer and proceeded to do the install.
I powered up my device using the restore button, but the " Little Green man never appeared", so I powered down and repeated the exercise, nothing.
I then tried to just restore the system, again using the restore button, now I have absolutely nothing.
My Screen says NO Signal, the internet diodes at the back are flashing, but that's it.
So can anyone guide me as to how I can try to get this thing working, it was all O.K. before I messed around with it !!!!

I have GostreamerG8 ( LibreElec / Linux) , currently running LibreElecKodi 16.1, albeit with Estuary Skin. I believe that this version of Kodi was compiled in Jan 2017.
Now Kodi have announced the release of the Final version of Krypton (17.0), How can I upgrade to this version.
Will this be automatic, or as a result of the LibreElec upgrade, when this becomes available.

They are a useless lot, if you complain they add another free years subscription, so now I have their system for free. I will continue to use my Smart DNS, until such time as I need to go to a VPN, then will pick one that works unblocking the sites that I use.

I have a Gostreamer Media Box running LibreElec. I have installed both OpenVPN and VPN Manager for Open VPN.
my problem is I have IVACY as my VPN provider., This does not appear in my VPN Provider listings , so I am trying to set this up as "User Defined".
I just can't get this to work.
The Ivacy Tech support team haven't a Clue, they have a package for OpenElec - but not LibreElec.
Two questions is this possible ? if so can anyone guide me on this.

Hi , I am a newbie to LibreElec, previously I have been working with OpenElec on a wetek Media Box.
I have just purchased a Gostreamer G8 Linux Kodi box, this runs LibreElec they call it Gostreamer addon - version 0.7.3. Can I assume that these two are related. I have some queries however, in OpenElec I installed the OpenElec Dev update manager which kept me informed about latest versions, do we have or are we going to have this for LibreElec. I also had a specific VPN installer, again is this going to arrive.
