hello
current LE 10 Generic Nightly does not boot on NUC6CAYS.
I get to the Boot screen and it stays stuck there and does not boot into Kodi.

I know nothing about debugging ffmpeg issues. I just push buttons and hope things work.
If you can reproduce the problem with the current nightly and/or LE 10 IMO it's best to open an issue on github.
There is no issue on LE 10 just the HDR builds since you updated FFMPEG

I use ffmpeg 4.4 which is not even merged to a current LE master. That is the most likely cause of the audio issue.
any chance you can make build without it? if you get time

smp if you get a chance can you please give my branch here a test? I've reworked many things including how the HDR code is handled. This code should be in good shape to get merged into kodi master eventually. Note that it contains the needed vaapi changes and the multilayer handling PR. Commits · lrusak/xbmc · GitHub
I've tested it on my Gemini lake NUC and it seems to work so far. I'll test on my AMD vega-m when I can (it's my normal workstation so I have to physically move it to my HDR tv downstairs).
Do you know why there could be issues with NUC6 and newer builds that break multi channel output? Kodi only outputs 2.0 on all files.

yup new build still has same issue
anyone else on apollo or coffee lake NUCs have problems outputting 5.1 or higher audio?
on the latest builds Kodi only outputs 2.0 PCM from all files. I disabled pass through and still same issue.
going to official LE build and this issue goes away but I loose HDR.

- FFmpeg 4.4 updated to bf87bdd + AV1 fixes
- included support for AV1 VAAPI HW decode (Intel RKL/TGL and newer)

ok guess I have to go to official nightly then and loose HDR.
the last version has too many audio problems for 6th gen NUCs

Probably it has something to do with a new kernel 5.14-rc2 or ffmpeg 4.4. Use an older build for now.
can you re upload your last build before the new kernel and ffmpeg?
