Reading the Intel website. Looks like 12th gen NUC’s don’t have the LSPCON.
Unless the Intel NUC is using third-party graphics, all the HDMI ports, on Intel NUC Kits and Mini PCs 7th Generation through 11th generation are HDMI 2.0 or greater, and all use a LSPCON chip.
Very bad. LSPCon chips are a source of trouble.
So how do we avoid them then, are they only in NUC’s? I’d really like to purchase a new Intel machine for a dedicated 4K HDR player.
Is it best to build a small form factor 12th gen Intel machine? Or get a Intel NUC?
I’m not sure if this has been mentioned before. However HDR doesn’t trigger if you play 4K HDR 60hz content on the latest nightly for Intel.
Works fine for 4K HDR 24hz
I have the same issue, I have recently got a 4k OLED TV from LG. When I plug in my NUC the NUC5CPYH it sets itself to 4K resolution and the option to change it is greyed out.
Has anyone had any luck resolving this?

I'm running the latest Millhouse build on my Intel NUC5PPYH. With Chromium everytime i enable hardware acceleration when i play any video in the browser i get audio, but no picture. I've tried various options under "render method" within VAAPI but no luck. It works fine with hardware acceleration disabled but obviously the picture quality suffers. Any ideas?
