It seems you are just spreading FUD.
It seems You want to insult me.
Have I nice day and ignore my posts
BTW:
Yes, I know a lot about mounting partitions in other OS - I´m working as an IT professional

Why should mounting a partition in another OS give problems?
What are you attempting to imply?
The SD card is like the system harddisk in a personal computer.
Who mounts this kind of a disk in another personal computer.
Whats the reason to put the SD card into another computer ?
Anything You want to to on the partition(s) could be done remote.
Why do You mount the SD outside the box ?
Do You want problems ?
Theoretically, since some updates, Windows 10 should work with NFS.
It works, but not very well (windows 10 enterprise)
Which box ?
A lot of S912 3Gb boxes are running LE/CE
Right. First problem found.
I get:
Speed: 100Mb/s
Duplex: Full
Need to try and figure out why it's not running at full speed.
Try to check cable/switch etc.
You can install FreeNAS(based on FreeBSD) on the Proliant server.
My proliant server is running Windows 10. I have Hanewin NFS Server installed
OK
This is not a NAS - It´s windows
I tested hanewin nfs server - I was not satisfied
I´m talking about keyboard.xml stored in /Userdata/keymaps/ and remote.conf stored in config folder.
Both files working together, but I don´t know how.
Just downloaded the package and followed instructions to install
You need a little bit more Linux know how
Are You shure Your nfs mounts are properly mounted on OS - nfs mount in KODI is not the best choice.
You wrote You use a Prolient Server as Your NAS - Did You check configuration ?
No
ethtool eth0
First You have to ssh to Your box
run ethtool eth0 via ssh and look if duplex & speed are OK
Should be:
Speed: 1000Mb/s
Duplex: Full
You put the long press inside repeat_key, right?
I my case I use a file named keyboard.xml stored in /Userdata/keymaps/
But I don´t know how this file works, I only use it
I play high bitrate UHD/HEVC videos from netgear and qnap nas using Gb network and OS nfs mount without buffering issue.
No special advanced settings
Did You check network connection ?
Or run iperf
How and where?
Have a look -> remote.conf repository
You have to investigate some files how to assign longpress action
I had luck - found files from tanix remote working with my vorke box
Is it possible to attribute 2 functions to one button? With long press to assign a second function?
Yes it´s possible
but You have to investigate by Yourself.
