I have a Mini M8S II 2/16 and I use the NFS protocol.

Some people are adamant NFS is faster, but for large video files it's roughly the same speed as SMB in my experience.

The chart is SMB performance over ethernet and the numbers are megabyte/sec, so multiply by 8 for mbit - 10MB per sec is 80mbit.

upnp/dlna gives me fastest speeds, but it's not a protocol I particularly like.

Same as adding smb or nfs - Add source > uPNP devices > Select your server

67mbps plus overhead, plus the fact that samba is incredibly inefficient, plus the fact that that ethernet tops out at around 60mbps on most budget arm boxes (more than half of those tested by CNX with smb over ethernet barely got 50mbps):

Same issue for me, using MiniM8IIS (launch model, AP6212 afaik) - when I updated to 7.0.3.012e I lost wifi, have to toggle it off/on after a reboot to enable. Away from home for the next 2 days but will paste logs on Saturday.

Have you tried to boot without the recovery button pressed? That isn't necessary after the first time; if you want to boot from USB just insert and power on.

Was this ever built for aarch? I'd love to use it on the 7.0.3.012c 32bit aarch LE release.

Is it possible to boot LE from SD card but to store the /userdata/ on the NAND of an AML s905x box?

Currently using 7.0.3.012 on a MiniM8SII 2/8GB and would like to store my userdata on the internal NAND of the box for performance - I'm sure I read of someone doing this before, but can't currently find any posts detailing it.

Would it be sufficient to place

mkdir -p /media/nandata
mount /dev/data /media/nandata

in [i]/storage/.config/autostart.sh[/i], move everything to the NAND, then make a symlink: [i]ln -s /media/nandata/media/0/kodiuserdata/ /storage/.kodi/userdata[/i]??

UPDATE - That worked fine, device correctly reads my userdata from NAND, all working fine!
