Just installed pcsc card reader on my RPi, OSCAM cannot access the device.

OSCAM seems to have been linked wth the pcsc libraries but the libraries are not within the oscam add on.

I managed to find an old add on ( service.system.pcscd-addon-7.0.1 wetek play.zip ), which when installed changed the reader status to green in oscam.

The card I inserted is seen and I can also see the entitlements (CARDOK).

But the decoding does not take place (no reader found for emm). not being comfortable with the wetek library, I wonder if a more upto date version is available.

    The device:

    [ 2.348202] usb 1-1.4: New USB device found, idVendor=076b, idProduct=3021

    [ 2.348215] usb 1-1.4: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0

[ 2.348220] usb 1-1.4: Product: Smart Card Reader USB

    [ 2.348223] usb 1-1.4: Manufacturer: OMNIKEY AG

And the oscam log (last line shows that no reader is available for the emm), I think my config is correct (user and all that), but I can be wrong.

Hi, I am experiencing some bizare behaviour, maybe someone can enlight me over this.
    Setup

    DiSec 4
    AA Hotbird 5W
    AB Hotbird 13E
    BA Astra 19.2 E
    BB Astra 28 E

I successfully scanned AB, BA and BB.

Any transponders in the network connected through AA returns "in error" for the scan, although the status shows a correct signal (ca. -45 dBm), but no signal/nois ratio.

I have setup a (good) transponder from each of the other satellites in the AA network and activated the scan, but they all return "in error".
I also tried to setup a transponder as listed b lyngsat for the bird, but no luck.

The Antenna and diSec are working fine when on a TV satellite tuner (got all 4 positions working).

What am I missing here ?

Here it is, dmesg after connecting the terratec

    [84132.875998] usb 1-1.4: new high-speed USB device number 5 using dwc_otg
    [84132.966651] usb 1-1.4: New USB device found, idVendor=0ccd, idProduct=10a6
    [84132.966668] usb 1-1.4: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3

    [84132.966691] usb 1-1.4: SerialNumber: 20130903

    Nothing more ...

pls dmesg | paste and post the link, maybe it is trivial

only works for Generic images (due CPU power) BUT you could use the EMBY addon and set up pvr with tvheadend, then it gets transcoded (emby supports hardware transcoding at the rpi)

Cool, thanks again, as per the terratec, I have removed it and rebooted so I will need to put it back on to get the related message (from what I can recall, I onl saw the USB scan messages (New device found with idVendor and the usual stuff, no driver triggered or trying to attach to the USB or download firmware). Anyways, I'll get ou this ASAP.

    Cheers

Just for information (probably aready known), my terratec S7 release 4  is not functional (but I epected it).

Question related to the transcoding of the incoming stream (my internet upload is limited to 3 MBps :( so I'm kind of interrested by this feature for the outgoing streams)

I read that tvheadend is capable of transcoding the streams, but in the stream panel I can't find the transcoding related parameters, somwhere I also read that this is enabled at compilation time (including the libav/ffmeg stuff). As i?m a newbee in this matter, I raise the question here, can I do that with the release you provided ?

Hi to all and season's greetings,

    I just got a technotrend S2-4650 CI (I also have a Terratec S7 rev 4 :( )

I tried both iof them on a LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-7.90.009.img

None of them are recognized so far. I have seen that the technotrend seems to be a variation of the DVBSky S960CI device which is recognized (Patch).

The device is seen but no module is attached, here are the Vendor and product codes.

    [ 2.758442] usb 1-1.2: new high-speed USB device number 4 using dwc_otg
    [ 2.848902] usb 1-1.2: New USB device found, idVendor=0b48, idProduct=3017
    [ 2.848911] usb 1-1.2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
    [ 2.848915] usb 1-1.2: Product: TechnoTrend USB2.0
    [ 2.848919] usb 1-1.2: Manufacturer: CityCom GmbH

The question being: is there a way to get one of these working ?

    If yes, how ?

Thanks in advance for your support.
