DaVu: I have, but this is not my point. I only asked for changelog and commit history and the changes inside. This does not require that you are able to reproduce the bug or I need to share dvds with you. I guess this is not legal.

If we know what has been changes in this ***one*** day, we may already have the root cause - at least the component. Than we can look for known bugs in the changed component. I do not expect many changes within one day! Something that should be easy to identify. And again this does not require any repro - it is only a question what code changes have committed.

Than we can reduce the debugging to related stuff.

DaVu have you been able to figure out what components have been changed? I guess this is just dvd nav that has been upgraded. So if we can create a build with just one component downgraded we can identify the source that is causing the bug. Than the release notes can be reviewed and maybe dvd nav has already such a known bug.

It woild give us both an idea in what direction we need to investigate and what logs are required. I cannot find the changelog of this day. How can I find it?

Not every dvd is affected.

Try Aristocats or Arielle in German. The rips have been done long time ago. I think this was done with redfox 7.9. Default settings if I remember correctly. Make a full rip with all menus as you have already done. If you have any better suggestion I can try a different software...

Please keep in mind that the same folders work without issues on a different Windows client with Kodi 17.6 without issues and the htpc with older versions of openelec and libreelec. From my point of view this clearly shows a bug in the current dvd nav software. Difficult to identify, but something goes wrong there and I can also share fresh logs or put dvd nav into debug mode if you may tell me how this can be done.

I tried with converting to iso, same result.

milhouse you may missed my comment above. I found your LE9 build that broke DVD folders. It is build #0514 and above from 2017, build #0513 and before are working fine. The issue is always reproducible.

Links to internal nas servers, list of all files and paths with personal identifyable information, all tv recording names, internal ip‘s and tons of tooo detailed data I will not share with everyone in public.

If you need something specific I‘m happy to run tests and share results, but I think the build is now sooo specific that there may be just one commit to dvd nav that make things clear. If not we need to see what is needed and I manually anonymize logs. Dvd nav is hopefully not hardware specific and just software that runs everywhere the same way.

And than on a pastebin that will never ever be deleted...

That took a lot of effort to figure out. I guess over 30 installations. I hope you can fix this very fast with a rollback of the defective component. Looking forward to a test build that works.

The artefacts came back with the change from #1220 to #1221. Than I remembered the reason I already reported. If you run an update you will see lot and lot of continuity errors (0 transport errors). After this go into addons > libreelec module drivers > select > le standard driver > reboot. After this continuty errors are staying at 0.

I rememer you said ~8 weeks ago to look into this bug.

I now upgraded from #1221 to #0126 again. Again continuity issues appear. Again set to standard le drivers and they are gone away - no artefacts anymore.

If you cannot repro this, how can I help you finding the root cause of this bug? I have no idea what the difference could be.

This is reproducible...

I have upgraded to #0119 and artefacts are shown directly. Downgraded again to #1224 ans see artefacts directly. Than downgraded to #1220 and i see no artefacts.

What has been changed in between #1220 and #1224 that may cause this?

CvH Artefacts are back with 0101 build and reselected default drivers. There are also issues with 1231. i‘m downgrading now back to 1213.

It is a bit difficult to repro and test bugs in production systems... I cannot create such a PR myself because of lack of knowledge.

I was unable to figure out what version has broken it. On a downgrade it was always broken in every downgraded version. I had no chance to make an install from scratch. I'm on LE9 build 1231 now.

Based on mediainfo I see no difference between a working and a non-working movie IFO file.

Additionally I tested a newly created ISO and an ImgBurn to convert a folder to ISO and both cannot played in LE9, too. In Windows 10 Kodi 17.6 the same files from same SMB location work flawless. This DVDs have all orginal menus embedded. The movie does not return an error on kodi screen when started. Log attached.

How can this debugged to the root cause?

Would also like to see hyperv as it is included with windows 10. Drivers are available in the mainline kernel... so just add the hyperv-daemons package and we are done.

Just updated from Build 1213 to 1231 and this "reconfiguration" has not happened again. Is this a known change or just luck?
