It would be greatly appreciated if LibreELEC can act as an OpenVPN Server.

I'm a longtime OE user moving to LE 
I think that the OpenVPN Server is a great security feature. RPi are always on and you can have a OpenVPN client in your mobilephone/laptop and use a free wifi hotspot without any fear. Or "call home" to use some services that are region limited when you're traveling.
