Is vc1 as good as its going to be on rpi4 ? Remuxes are unable to play without stuttering on nighlys.
-
I dont think there are any good choices, almost all usb wifi is based on realtek chipset which is trouble.
-
Can I send you a file to test whether you see a difference in Android VS. Rpi?
yes, after watching ariatwofives two samples I can also see the difference now, especially on the colour of the sand on sample001, which is more greyish on rpi4
Less red on rpi4 says wife.
-
I cant see any difference vs vlc on android and rpi4 with the linked samsung demo.
Sony oled kd-55a85

AriaTwoFive if you press "option" on the sony remote you will see if hdr is detected or not, by the look of the white on that kodi screenshot it doesnt look like hdr is enabled? atleast for me the white in the menus is extremely white, could be the camera ofc

netwoork-tools seems to be missing from the repo using nightly atleast, anyone know why?
-
it has worked for me since I switched to le10, im now on 2021-02-08 so I guess we didnt have the same issue
-
this has happend on all my rpi4 installations on libreelec 9.2.x, try nightly. works for me there
-
I get some visual issues appearing once every other minute or so, nothing can be seen in the log while it happens,
i mailed you link to sample, ive also notices simular glitches on some 1080 non hdr materials, might be related, tell me if you want samples of those too
-
amazing work guys, it does work on the hdr material I got using sony oled 2020 model.
will continue to test.
-
i just tried on nightly and it defaults to software decode when using vc1.
performance is too bad to decode my sample without stutter atleast.

We got a fix for the resume issue, it should find it's way into nightly builds soon ffmpeg: update rpi patch by HiassofT · Pull Request #5093 · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub
so long,
Hias
just built it and it works fine indeed, thanks!
-
Thanks for reporting, I could reproduce the resume issue and informed our ffmpeg guru about it.
so long,
Hias
thanks!

Storing watch or resume status shouldn't be video type dependent. Perhaps your video database is somewhat corrupted.
Uploading a log is always useful.
its not a database thing, its about being able to jump within the file.
-
now there are so many rpi4 "status" threads so I dont know where to follow, but as of 20210203 I cant resume files again with h264, is this known? if not I will upload logs
-
smp do you know that uhd for iger lake will work? Uhd as in gpu
-
