Sorry, forgot to mention that. There was a request to remove sonarr and sabnzbd as they are available through the Thoradia addons. I've kept Transmission, as I had issues with the one in Thoradia repo.
Had to revert the emulationstation change, as the addition of libvlc took up too much space there wasn't room for nvidia legacy and also it wouldn't build for rpi. Pretty much the only difference was addition of video support in themes which isn't needed. New generic build uploaded.
It doesn't read anything from /storage at all AFAIK, so you'd need to build yourself.

At that price range, I'd say an Intel NUC would be a good choice. There's also a CEC adapter for some of the models.
I'm not sure what you mean. Probably you won't notice a difference, it's just I'm now using their fork instead of Herdinger's as development on his have stagnated. They have some additional bugfixes and minor features, like video preview in themes (this would need theme support) or that jumping to a letter now puts you at the first occurence of that letter. I'm still using es-simple as the standard theme.
So I managed to get my laptop up and running again, so we're back in business.

You're right, it does look like syslinux supports 32 bit EFI. You'll probably need ldlinux.e32 as well though.

Surely someone with such a system and enough interest could put together a PR that would do the correct thing here.
I'm guessing there isn't any particular reason other than there's some work required to replace syslinux and not a lot of benefit as there isn't a whole lot of devices requiring 32 bit EFI boot.
On the plus side, you could always manually install grub.
If you have a haswell or later CPU (not atom class) I've uploaded the latest build I use on my NUC under the "haswell" folder. It has 4.11-rc3 kernel, samba 4.6, systemd 233 and updated kodi/retroarch. It won't boot if your CPU does not have all of the instruction sets that haswell does.
The latest build is already on those versions minus a very few commits. My laptop (and also build machine) died on me in the weekend, so new builds won't be as frequent at the moment. I can build on my NUC, but I'm space limited.
Cherry trail is poorly supported on Linux, official hdmi audio code for example is coming in 4.11. There isn't much the LE team can do other than backport future fixes and upgrade the kernel.

I don't think something like that exists. Very good idea though, would be nice to have both an emulated gamepad and keyboard for HTPC purposes.
That doesn't look like the entire log. The errors regarding *.mcr are normal RA just looks for memory cards.
He's not suggesting to remove the date and time but possibility to add a custom name. I'm not sure why though as the file can simply be renamed after.
I've seen that happen when compiling with glibc 2.25. Arch recently upgraded glibc to 2.25, most likely this error is related to that. Try downgrading and doing a clean rebuild.
