For some reason, after upgrading to systemd 237 I also had issues starting Spotify. I've now switched to starting my additions with python scripts which seems to work better. Perhaps you can give the new build a shot? It's uploading soon.

I've uploaded a new avx2 build which has systemd 237. Been working on adding meson/ninja which is required for some projects now (like systemd) and also makes compiling faster.

Try ir-keytable -p lirc

So it's found on both kernels, just a matter of lirc_dev using another driver. I'm no expert on this, but I suppose it's just a configuration issue. I didn't actually test my infrared as I don't use an IR remote just checked that the CIR driver was loaded.

I removed the spinelplus CIR patch to build 4.16 perhaps that's the cause? I've fixed up the patch and rebuilt, try today's build.

Here's a download for LibreELEC 8.2 x86/64. Note that it was built on a toolchain using -march=haswell so it needs AVX2 capable CPU.

Just a FYI, you don't actually need MakeMKV to play blu-rays, you can do that fine with libaacs. All you need is the KEYDB.cfg file.

Yes, it runs fine here. "It doesn't work" does not tell me much, logs would be good. The only difference with "muteonly" is Kodi isn't being stopped.

The build system fills in these parts.

New build uploaded with kernel 4.14.18 and Mesa 18.0.0-rc4. There's now Spectre V1 mitigation (in addition to V2/meltdown).

I'm doing a full rebuild, let's see if that fixes it. It does run fine on my NUC.

The entire LibreELEC OS is contained in two files, /flash/KERNEL and /flash/SYSTEM, simply replace them with those of a functioning release and you are up again.

You change resolution in Kodi, but emulators don't actually render at 1080p they use hardware scaling.

New build uploaded with glibc 2.27 retpoline and updated retroarch.

About Emulationstation, I probably won't be upgrading it any time soon as there's no changes that have been relevant. I've backported some of the performance improvements from RetroPie. Only relevant stuff is maybe the carouselle theme and videos (which requires a rather large libvlc library).
