I use the method, with the a fake zipfile and booted from Andoid to Libreelec.
My box is on latest Tanix firmware posted above in a link in the post of Upo001.
But with previous firmware it also worked.

S905W is working with existing S905X device tree. Booted from usb stick.

used boot from usb
LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-8.1.9.img.gz and device tree gxl_p212_2g.dtb
Remote is woking fine
dd5.1 (+) dts, dts hd master true hd atmos all working
auto frame works.
No wifi.

First thanks for all the hard work.
I see release 8.0.1c is only as *tar file.
How to update from 8.0.1b ?
Can i put tar file in the update folder and reboot, like i do with *img.gz file ?
