    Hi Guys,

I've just switched over from OpenElec (Kodi 15) to LibreElec (Kodi 16 – 7.0.2) with a fresh, clean install on an AMD-based PC. Works like charm, except for one thing I can't figure out and maybe you can help:
I’m using a Windows 7 client (as a server) for holding the media and a MySQL-Server as for the library. Accessing both library and media works without problems. I only have annoying delays (with the rotating blue arrow-ring) in the following situations:

    1. Entering the smb-shares, for example when browsing for AddOn-ZIPs, takes 60-70 sec.
When selecting the “windows network (smb)” within the Add Addon from ZIP dialog to navigate to the servers’ shares with the addon-files, it takes 60-70 seconds till the next dialog opens to select the workgroup. During that time, there is that rotating blue arrow-ring. After the delay, the dialogs opens without any errors and navigation, selecting and opening files works without problems.
Never had such a behavior bevor (using XBMC since version 11).
The system must be waiting for something, then a timeout kicks in. But there isn’t anything in the log file.
I’ve modify the workgroup and WINS setting, but without any difference. Activated / deactivated smb-server on LibreElec, no difference (didn’t aspect it so).
(btw: Videos from that share do start immediately)

    2. Refreshing the widgets on Homescreen after playback
I’m using video widgets on my home screen to show the recommended videos, next episodes etc. I used to use it with Refocus Big (on OpenElec 15) and now using it with Titan (on LibreElec 16). After watching a video and coming back to home screen, the widgets are updated to reflect the possible changes due to the new watched status of the last video.
On OpenElec this update of the widgets was instantly without any notable delay.
On LibreElec during the update that blue arrow-ring is displayed and the update takes about 5-10 sec.

Sorry for the long post, I hope I was able to explain the situation. There seems to be something that the system is waiting for when accessing smb but I can’t figure out what (noting was changed in the back end).
    Any help appreciated! :)
    Mark
