Just wanted to provide an update that I installed raybuntu's rb-leia19 build on my C2, and the audio/video sync issue has been fixed.

Unfortunately, I can't install a leia build on my main box (u9H), as the emby for kodi addon is not yet compatible, but I'm happy that at least a fix is incoming (assuming it can't be backported to the 8.2 releases).

Perhaps you're not getting any support here because you're using a community build and posting in "General support" (which I don't watch).

If you see the issue on the C2, try using Raybuntu's build (here: Release rb-krypton19 · Raybuntu/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub) or official LE build and tell us your results.

Mod request: please move this thread to "Amlogic".

Apologies for the delay, I just got back home from traveling and have finally been able to hook up the C2 with the above build from Raybuntu.

See debug on a clean install with just the NHL.tv addon installed:

    Ubuntu Pastebin

The sound still appears to be out of sync using this build as well. To test, I plugged in an old acer revo I had laying around and updated to the latest LibreELEC Krypton, and the NHL.tv streams run fine (audio/video in sync).

So IDK what's going on. I got the Sandisk Extreme micro SD card, used Rufus to load the LE image and the gxm_q200_2g.dtb file and after the Minix logo it's NOTHING but a blank screen, I reformat the LE image and this time I load up the gxm_q200_2g_minix_neo_u9.dtb, I get the LE splash screen, it installs, does the whole countdown to reboot, reboots, shows the LE splash screen then goes to black, just like the EVO card did with the OTHER image. So I then grab my 6 year old Patriot 8Gb USB drive, stick it in and BAM it fires right up.

Is something wonky with the sd card reader on these things?

I need to now decide if I want to just install to the device or boot from the Patriot stick and then use the internal memory.

ETA in a fit of frustration I just installed to the device and it's working PERFECT. Guess I'm sending this card back to Amazon as well.

Reading your post with the edits was like a view into my mind last week. Glad you got it working.

Awesome, glad to hear that worked for you.

For what it is worth, I had to return my A3 remote because the front buttons completely stopped responding. My wife likes to use our tablet as a remote (galaxy tab with IR), so I loaded up anymote on it, and the Minix profile on there works to turn the box on and off, and I just use Yatse when inside Kodi.

The U9 is really a fantastic device.

So a couple things, I was getting the black screen using wrxtasy's dtb on both my EVO+ & usb drive, so I decided to try the default dtb in the OP 1 more time on both. This time on the EVO, I got the couldn't mount Libreelec Disk error on the splash screen. However, using the OPE dtb and my sandisk usb drive, it booted right into LE. Keep in mind, I had tried a few other USB drives before (I had a few kingston laying around that I had used for LE in the past) and I always either got the black screen with wrxtasy's dtb, or the diskmount error using the OP dtb.

This was the first time I had tried this thumb drive and it worked straight away, so the U9 must not have liked something with my other thumb drives and the EVO to not be able to mount the LE disk.

I have since installed LE to the internal memory however, since running LE from the thumb drive had a 'crazy long startup time' according to my wife.

The model usb stick that ended up working was a sandisk SDWS4. I hope this helps somewhat.

I am experiencing a problem where whenever I watch a live stream (NHL games via the NHL.TV addon) the stream is out of sync (by about a second). I can manually correct this by either either forcing the stream to buffer (trying to skip ahead in the stream, which causes it to buffer and come back in sync) or manually offsetting the audio via the OSD. Either correction is temporary however, since gradually the stream will fall back out of sync (usually takes 5 or 10 minutes).

For some background on my setup, I used to use this addon with both an ODroid C2 & Shield TV directly connected to my TV via HDMI, and I did not have these problems. However, this summer, I upgraded my setup and added in a 7.1 AVR (only set up in 5.1 for now) into the mix, which I believe is causing the problems. I have used the C2 with the AVR, as well as a MINIX U9-H (LE dual boot, now LE flashed to internal storage), and both have the same problems with audio sync of live streams.

I can watch any other content on these boxes through the AVR (localy streamed videos from my server, as well as internet streams of youtube videos and NHL game replays) and I have absolutely zero sync issues.

Here is a debug log showing me playing 2 livestream games (the first stream died on my almost as soon as I started it, so I selected another stream, and the audio was off), as well as 1 archived game. The livestreamed games had the audio off by about a second, while the archived game's audio was in sync.

    Dropbox - kodi.log

I had originally posted this on the kodi forums, but didn't get much traction, so I figured I'd try on here as well. I'll try to grab an updated debug log from the U9-H tomorrow night when there is another game on.

If there is any other information I can provide, please let me know. Thanks

Samsung EVO+ SD card are fast and highly compatible with AML Hardware.

You likely need to use a different SD card flashing software or a slightly modded U9 dtb.img

This is the U9's .dtb I use that works:

    gxm_q200_2g_minix_neo_u9.dtb

So I just tried using the EVO+ sdcard with your dtb, and while I didn't get the same error, after the libreelec splash screen, it went black and nothing happened. I left the box like that for over an hour and it never came back on. I restarted the box (holding the power button on power up) and I got to the LE splash screen again which said something to the effect of expanding storage (or something like that), and it restarted automatically, then same thing, booted to the LE screen, went black, and never came back up.

I tried the same dtb with another usb stick I have that I used to install LE on another device I have, and had the same problem. I then switched back to the original dtb from the OP and the EVO+ gave me the tty error, and the usb stick booted into LE.

Could it be a problem with the EVO+? I used the LE usb creator tool as well as rufus on the EVO, and had the same results.

::EDIT:: well, at this point it doesn't matter. I took the plunge and installed LE on the internal memory, and after some really dumb mistakes on my part, I have everything up and running, and this thing runs like a beast. I'll return the EVO+, since I no longer need it.

wrxtasy Any ideas what might be the problem here?

I've seen the U9-h talked up quite a bit, so am eager to use libreelec on it.

Hi - I just purchased the Minix U9-h and am having trouble installing libreelec linked in the OP.

I installed libreelec on a samsung evo+, and I can get to the Libreelec screen, however an error comes up on the top left that says:

    *** Error in mount_storage: mount_common: could not mount LABEL=LIBREELEC_DISK ***

    ### starting debugging shell... type exit to quit ###

sh: can't access tty. job control turned off.

    #

I've tried on both the sd card mentioned above, as well as a kingston usb stick I had laying around. Both produce the same error. I'm not sure what to do next. Any assistance?

When I type exit, the same error message comes up.

I am using the correct device tree as well (gxm_200_2g.dtb) renamed to dtb.img
