Senseohasser Sorry, tx92-1-vfd.zip had a typo, try it again.

Senseohasser Ok, one of these two should work. Please let me know which one of them works.
You also need to install the OpenVFD Service (addon) to get the icons to light up.

Senseohasser Can you tell me what indicators it has on the sides of the clock? Or take a picture that shows them well?
If you can see the time, fixing it shouldn't be too difficult, we just need to figure out what display configuration the box has.

Senseohasser Ok, can you try this one?

Senseohasser Try the one attached, and let me know if it works for your box.

salavert69 I'm not sure what the issue is with the N5 boxes and the VFD driver.
I had a report say that after booting up Android, and then rebooting back to LE/CE, it would work.
I don't have this box to do hands-on debugging, so it's pretty difficult to guess what is wrong exactly.

I'm not sure, you'll have to look around.
-
Axee you need to use an LE build that has a recent version of the "openvfd" driver baked in. And of course use a DTB provided for that specific build.

-
Axee I needed the Android DTB to see what the display configuration is, so that a matching vfd.conf file could be created for the device.
I'll look at it later today.

Axee the info is in the OP (1st post) of this thread.

Axee I'll need the Android DTB from the box.

onexzero Thanks.
From the looks of it, the vfd.conf I suggested should work just fine.
The display looks identical, and so does the DTB configuration.
Please let me know if it works, and I'll update the file in the repository to include the U5X+S as well.

Could you please post the full brand and model? A link to the device would be useful.
The pin configuration is identical to the m9-pro-u2c-x-vfd.conf, so I would suggest you try that first and let me know if it works properly or not.

samura Hi,
I've spent a long time trying to figure out the way the Tap1 display works. A user spent a while trying to help me, but eventually he gave up.
I'll send you a PM with some instructions, but I can't guarantee that I will be able to make it work correctly without an actual device to do my testing on.

Ico747 It should be
Galathorne I can't guess what version of LE you are running, sorry.

I can create a PR to LE.
There is no more need for custom DTBs for each device, as configuration has moved into the vfd.conf files. This means that each root-DTS file needs to have an openvfd entry, so I'll have to make another PR to LE's linux-amlogic repo.
I'm a bit busy at the moment, but I'll try to find the time for it.

You need to go back and read up on how to properly setup LE.
Then, you need to understand what linch has posted, and use the correct DTB file, otherwise the driver will not load.
You also have to read the VFD thread and understand what you need to do to set it up correctly (copy and rename the vfd.conf file) and use to correct vfd.conf file for your box.
After following the steps correctly, it should work.
I know that for a novice user this can seem complicated, but you can do most of the steps from windows, without the need of SSH-ing into the box.You already successfully ran the install script, so once you set up LE correctly, it should work after a reboot.
