    Hello

I have a Wetek Play 2 and have had librelec installed in nand (I think). It's a long time I did this, and plan to use the wetek again. A while back I tried to manually update and messed things up.

Could some one point me to the installation for both libreelec and wetek os> That is, in this case, I would like to be able to boot into the wetek OS as well as librelec. I think this is possible if I install librelec on an sd card? Though I don't know where I get the original image of the wetek play 2 OS and how to reinstall that too (or is it still on the system?)

Sorry, for dumb questions. It's been a while since I used my device.

    Thanks for any advice.

    Hello

I installed libreelec to nand via sdcard on the Wetek play 2. But after reboot, I see the dreaded black screen with the message:

sh: can't access tty: job control turned off

I've seen a couple of threads about this, but can't find a solution.

Really appreciate any help and what steps to take.

    Thanks

Speed wise (more ... more speed)

    RPi3 < WeTek Play < .. < WeTek Play 2 / Odroid_C2 / WeTek Hub < ........ < some Intel j3455/J4205 board

WP2/WH/Odroid and Intel can also play HEVC and 4k, not that you need it but they are overall much faster the a RPi.

Thanks! I've been running around in circles thinking about different h/w, esp self-build. But I think it's simpler just getting hold of a Wetek Hub (esp in terms of cost)

    Hello

I currently own a Wektek Play, and am ready to upgrade to a faster device/hardware. I don't really need 4K, but definitely 1080p HD.

I'm wondering about which hardware or device to use. Libreelec should be:

    - easy to install, update & stable (so want to use the official images/downloads, rather than rely on a community build)

    - fast boot up

    - not laggy when in use

    - reliable hardware

    Some options I've been considering:

    - Wetek Core

    - Asus Chromebook

    - Intel NUC (braswell for 1080p; or more expensive i3 based)

    - Build my own NUC/mini-ITX type device

    Any advice will be appreciated

    Thanks

    Thanks @Irusak

For the zip nand flash, are there any initial menu choices to make (e.g. does it go into something like recovery?), or is the whole thing automatic?

Ok, I tried the zip nand flash, it goes into recovery - should it?
I chose Install from EXT, but it can't find any package on the SD.

    Am I missing some steps?

Yes, I know how to install openelec on nand.
Though I'm not sure which set of files to use for LE - on the download page there are 3 possible sets?

Just to add, for example, do I first install openelec on nand, and then use the LE Manual Update from OpenELEC (.tar) files?

Or should I simply use New Install to WeTek internal NAND (.zip)? - Is it the same process as installing openelec to nand, because the set of files look quite different to openelec? I know someone else who tried this & they said it bricked their wetek play

    thanks

    Hello

I haven't used my Wetek Play for a while and tried XMBC (13.2) which I liked more. I was thinking about installing openelec directly on to nand, but after reading about libreelec - I'd like to use it instead.

Though I'm not sure how to install libreelec directly on to nand, and which files to use.

    Thanks for any help
