Well damn! Got moved to new home and still working out ethernet cabling issues. Thought I might try to setup my Realtek AC1200 m usb adapter with LE11.0.1 X86 Gen/legacy build. I'm stumped as to if this will work or am I doomed to trip over cables for awhile? I assume there might be a driver that needs to be installed? Any help here appreciated.

I wanted to report that I tested this build on all my hardware with no issues whatsoever. Asus i7 system, Gigabyte i3 HTPC, Asus i5 Laptop and Lenovo AMD A9 Laptop. Kudos to all that make this possible. Regards to the team!

As always thanks guys for keeping Chrome alive and kicking.

I decided to try one more thing and used the 8-31 12.0 legacy build and all is right with LE on the Lenovo. Wifi working as expected, no skin issues and no video issues. Weather service working. Took me awhile to get here but well worth the effort. I expanded my knowledge of the system a bit and gained a new appreciation for all the folks at LE. You guys rock and thanks!

Thanks for the tip. I was having trouble navigating the way to the right build. Finally managed to try the 08 31 build on the Lenovo. Good news is wifi is functional but I had problems with everything I tried. Confluence skin when I clicked on LE settings it hung up and reverted to original skin. I couldn't enter the location for the weather either. Video for this version using Confluence was interesting too. Move the mouse and static on the screen. I know it's work in progress so I will to hold off and use the Windows version (yuk) till this gets sorted out.

Thanks again for your efforts. I'm a bit lost on where to find and download the nightly 12.0 package.
I figured it out. Will give this a go today and once again thank you.

I figured out maybe connect with cat5 to router is my only way. Viola!

Yes I have used ssh in the past. I might be missing something here but without a device url how would I connect with ssh?

I've never opened the hood of LE to see what's inside. Exactly how do I run "dmesg | paste" ?

Hope I understand what you need.dmesg.txt

I think I did this right and here's the output from Linux. Sorry for being such a pain.lshw.txt

I updated the drivers to the latest available but so far still no luck. I'll try a fresh install later and see if there is difference. As always thanks for the help.

I made a clean X86 system on a 32gb Sandisk usb stick. Hardware is a Lenovo ideapad 130 AMD A9 system with LE11.03 system and boots without issues. When I select connections it is totally blank. Wifi adapter does not seem to be detected. I'm stuck on this one.

Sounds about right for NTFS. My plan is to ditch NTFS altogether for my mass storage and replace with ext4. I've had several strange file issues with Linux based software trying to decipher Bill Gates spaghetti file systems. From what I gather native filesystem's will play together much better. We'll see.
