Seems I just had to tinker some more. Thanks to Petedescrete's encouragement I got Confluence working with the new and improved Favorites. I have not checked everything but so far but all seems to work properly. I'm running LE RPi5 nightly 20240116.

I'm more than happy to share it but seems it's too large to attach. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the tips on the process. I expected a few things not working but the main reason was our use of Favorites and of course that's the one thing that is undergoing changes. We'll likely manage until it's updated. Thanks again for your help.

I followed the link and instructions and sure enough got Confluence working! It has one small issue I noticed. I click on the Favorites icon and nothing. Any thoughts on a fix?

I checked on the kodi forum snf found this:

    "2023-10-3 - Removal of DialogFavourites.xml

Every skin supporting favourites needs to switch to use MyFavourites.xml for Omega instead of DialogFavourites.xml.
We will remove DialogFavourites.xml for Omega. Replacement is MyFavourites.xml, which is available since Nexus.

PR that introduced MyFavourites.xml for Nexus: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/22001"

Now if I can find out where to change it I will try it.

I installed the nightly RPi5 build 03-02 and running sweet. Just curious about when Confluence might be available. Please don't beat me up too bad but I happen to like the original Confluence skin. The default is OK but not my favorite and I have trouble navigating. Kinda like an old pair of shoes ya know?

I was testing our home backup power system today and noticed my shiny new PI5 had turned itself on. The pi was resting in my TV cabinet with the power off (Red LED) lit and it seems when external power disconnected then restored it defaults to "ON" even if it is "OFF". [Place a head scratch here]. Is there some setting to choose the default power on state? Not a big deal in any case just curious.:/

Thought I might offer up experience with dual boot using LE. A few times it worked fine but as reported 1st win update trashed the setup and caused me to rethink what I wanted. A reliable way to run LE or Windows on a laptop (or PC.) LE fits very comfy on a 32 GB thumbdrive with plenty of space to spare and works every time. On my Lenovo F12 brings up the boot choices at power on and that's it. No muss or fuss and always works. Not yet running win11 but I doubt any real boot changes. USB3 thumbdrive loaded with LE handles everything I throw at it with ease. Windows simply does not play well with other systems but you can get it to work ....usually till the next update,

I played a bit with the "shitdefender" as ya mentioned and found you can define an exception by adding the filename and path for LE Creator and seemed that solved the problem and the app ran as expected with no issues. This stuff only happens when I'm short on fiddle time doncha know. :dodgy:

Just a wild ass guess here but it sounds like you have introduced a number of potential problems. I might suggest you start simple by using a micro HDMI to HDMI cable and see what works. If audio from HDMI is an issue you can always use the audio output jack with a separate cable. At least this way you can test and find what might cause your issues.

If you provide your entire setup (Monitor type, AVR, Sound System) some the wiz kids here might come up with an answer for you.

My RPi 5 finally arrived today and I couldn't wait to assemble and test. Aside from the LE USB Creator not working I loaded a 16gb sd card and viola! 11.06 running without a hitch. 1st boot was on an old Samsung 32" led 720 flavor then on to a Sony 46" LED. I made no changes and boot was perfect. The Pi 5 is fast by any measure and seems to perform identical to my i3 HTPC system. Nice work from the Pi folks and of course our hero DEVs. Nice work guys and gals.
