In summary, LibreELEC ships:
- Raspberry Pi VNC for RPi/RPi2
- TigerVNC for x86_64If anyone is aware of a VNC for aarch64/arm64, (as source code) let me know, I will try to build it (i will not be able to test, tough, because I have no aarch64 hw)

squeezelite ships with the multimedia-tools addons

Ah! I forgot to correct the first post.
Mono and Webgrab+Plus are now available for all LibreELEC releases.
Enjoy!

Another query - I am able to get LMS to pick music from USB sticks, which is fabulous! Don't need to rely on the storage partition only, but if I remove the USB disk and re insert the usb can be seen but LMS cannot access the data. It doesnt work even if I re start just LMS, it only works if LE is restarted so what could be done to fix this? It would be great to have on the fly usb supportLabel your USB stick?

this means unless someone finds this closed source compiled library for other architectures we will never get Spotify connect for x64 HTPCs running the Generic LibreELEC build, right?
Right

Hm... TeamViewer seems to be based on X11.
X11 is absent from LE on RPi.
I will resume if anyone can confirm that TeamViewer for RPi does not need X11. -

i would need the corresponding shared lib, whose source code is not publicly available

1. create a system.d unit, as in the linked examples in a file, eg service.lms.service
2. at the console: systemctl enable $PWD/service.lms.service
3. systemctl start service.lms
4. journalctl -u service.lmsOther systemctl sub-commands: stop, restart
[hr]
Ah, yes, mind the system.d variables and file name, they shoul match, somehow -

The "little version of the movie" is a bug in ffmpegx (Kodi ffmpeg built shared) on RPi. At the moment, it is either this bug or no transcoding on RPi. This is also the reason the Emby addon is still beta.
