Without a log I can only guess:

- are Librespot and the Spotify app on the same subnet?

- is Avahi enabled in Settings/LibreELEC/Services?

- Is Wait for network before starting Kodi enabled in Settings/LibreELEC/Network?

To get a log, type journalctl -u service.librespot at the console.

To stream from Kodi:

In Add-ons/My add-ons/Services/Snapserver/Configure set Preset to Kodi
In Settings/System/Audio set Audio output device to PULSE: Default or PULSE: Linux FIFO sink /tmp/snapfifo
In Add-ons/My add-ons/Services/Snapclient/Configure increase Latency (600 somehow works here, your mileage may vary) in order to (attempt to) synchronise audio and video; this must be done for all Snapclients

Remarks:

Sound quality feels inferior
Boot time feels longer

How can I debug what's wrong?

That mentions a DNS error.

Have you tried Settings/LibreELEC/Network/Wait for network before starting Kodi?

Addon revision 109 is outdated and does not work anymore. Addon revision has been merged but not built yet for LibreELEC 9.0. You have several options: wait for revision 110 on LibreELEC 9.0, downgrade to LibreELEC 8.2, or build the addon yourself.

Snapcast is available from the LibreELEC Add-ons repository. Install the Snapserver addon on one system and the Snapclient addon on all systems which should play. Then use AirPlay to stream to Snapcast.

By default, the Snapserver addon is configured to stream AirPlay, but it can be configured to stream Spotify. Streaming Spotify requires that the Librespot addon is installed on the system which runs the Snapserver addon.

You can change that line in /storage/.kodi/addons/service.librespot/bin/librespot.start, but I will not update the addon (render unto Librespot the things that are Librespot's)
