For information, I am reworking Emby to run with .Net Core runtime.
.Net Core runtime is functional, and Emby is promising.
Stay tuned.
Display MoreHello,
i am trying to get librespot 8.2.111 working on my raspberry pi 3 with libreelec 8.2.5.
Zeroconf is activated as well as wating for network in settings.
Her is my log:

I am not able to connect a device with the spotify android app.
I would be happy if you could help me.
Thanks in advance.
Just to make sure: are your Android device and your LibreELEC device on the same subnet?
Librespot (or any other spotify app for that matter) doesn't show up as spotify connect device. This might have more to do with my version of Libreelec, since it is an alpha/pre-alpha ROCK64 version. But in the event, that I'm simply overlooking something obvious or that is a know issue, I thought I would try to get some help here anyway.
What I want to do is to stream from my Spotify app on my laptop, which is connected to the same network as the ROCK64 (wired), that I want to stream to. I would have liked to test it on my phone app, but unfortunately I am one of the few people, who have a Windows Phone (don't ask why) and its spotify app, doesn't even have the option to connect to another device.
As was described, I've created a log with the "journalctl -u service.librespot" command this is the result.

Avahi is on and I've set it to "Wait for network before starting kodi" but to seemingly no avail.
There is something wrong with librespot on ROCK64: it core dumps.
Not sure what it could be.
I will come back to you when I have the time.
Hi, any idea when the update will be available for Odroid C2? (v8.2.5)
It should be. Check for updates in the addon-manager
Display MoreTrying to get LibreSpot (9.0.111) working on a S912 box with latest CoreElec (CoreELEC-S912.arm-8.90.2).
Everything is working fine except for the sound part.
I can select LibreSpot from the list of devices in the spotify app, and on CoreElec I see a song should be playing.
"Should be playing" because there is no audio coming out of my speakers
I've tried messing around with the configuration, tried all 3 options in the configuration, none works.(I am using HDMI btw)
Also tried entering the configuration manually because I read somewhere the picker didn't work (so just wrote AMLM8AUDIO,DEV=0 or CARD=AMLM8AUDIO,DEV=0) but there's still no audio coming from LibreSpot. And yes, I set the volume from the android app to max volume.
Anyone got any suggestions for what could be going wrong? (AHVI is enabled in CoreElec settings)
I have no idea about sound with CoreELEC.
CoreELEC devs may help you.
Otherwise, you may switch output from ALSA to Kodi.
Great work on the .111 update! Works like a charm!
One question: by installing this .zip update, I'm prolly disconnected from the main repo, not? So I will not receive the new updates automagically?
Need to reinstall from the main repo at the end of the week?
Version 111 is now available from the LibreELEC repository.
Librespot will update automatically (unless auto-update off).
The build system can not find the source of the wlan-firmware package, probably because it was moved/removed.
You can find a copy of the source here. To use a copy, update PKG_URL of package.mk of wlan-firmware accordingly.
LibreELEC 6.0.3 is not supported anymore, so you are very much on your own.
i've install librespot and i try to configure but the buttom Open is disable, can i do?
thanks
You must use a Spotify app, for example Spotify for Android or iOS, and use that Spotify app to stream to Librespot.
Select "Librespot" from "Available devices" in the Spotify app.
Also, you need to install version 111 of the Librespot addon (posted earlier in this thread) because version 110 is broken.
Thanks for your response, awiouy
I tested the Spotify app and it worked fine there, the volume was OK when I played the same song using the app.
My system is Libreelec 8.2.5 on Rpi2, Payback device is defaultCARD-ALSA, output through HDMI.
(I have installed SnapCast client & server before but uninstalled them all.)
Have you tried to increase the volume with your app while you are streaming to Librespot?
Now with latest update you've just lowered skip time by two thirds, wow! Now time between songs is just 2 secs, very nice. Thanks!
Thank Obrekr for that.
I wonder what causes this on CoreELEC.
I'm a newbie sorry. How would I go about updating it on my Raspberry 3 using your zip file?
Hi @awiouy,
I installed the build you posted for RPi2 8.2 but the volume is too low that I could hardly hear anything. I worked fine before. Is there anything I can do to fix it ? Thanks.
Change the volume from your Spotify app?
If that does not work, please provide more details, eg what system, output to ALSA/Kodi, output through HDMI/jack, etc
Volume is now cached and preserved from session to session.
That is not how Librespot works.
Remove the credentials unless you know what you are doing.
Use a Spotify app on any device (mobile phone, tablet, PC, etc) to stream to librespot.
In the settings you can decide if you want to play through ALSA or through Kodi.
Finally, you might have better support if you post in the Librespot thread.
Can you build it for ODROID C2 CoreELEC?
Ask at CoreELEC, it is in master (and Obrekr should have a build)
Wrxtasy's, it is based on aarch64.
If you find time, it will be really appreciated. Thanks.
ask wrxtasy to build it for you, it is in master
Many thanks!
For Odroid C2 version I will have to wait until it is released to the LibreELEC repository, correct?
I might build that one too. Which version of LibreELEC are you using?
As releasing Librespot to the LibreELEC repositories might take until the end of the week, I post some builds here:
