DTS-HT, Atmos, 4K, HDR, DTB-T, IPTV All works fine on my KI Pro.
The only thing is that:
- AAC 2.0 don't play.
- Sometimes an old image in the video-buffer is display when switching channels.

Seems fine to me, just very slightly more sluggish than my amazon fire tv with kodi, if its going to make things more snappy id do the swap to SD card?
The only performance gain withe an expensive high-speed SD is if you are using a "heavy/fancy" skin. If not a normal decent SD works just fine.
Why would it be faster? Doesn’t the add/USB drive just boot and then everything else happens from internal? I’m using an old Sandisk usb, got me worried that it’s hindering the performance now? Is it? Should I get fast SD too? Lol
Do you have bad performance?
The performance from internal compare to sd card is much better.
If you use a newer card, than not much;)
I'm AMAZED by every one who is concerned about the install to internal, thy all wont it, but thy have no idea why
8.90.5 Won't switch to 2160p 420:60hz.
yeah that is exactly what I meant with "turning off passthrough": I only disabled the formats that my AVR does not decode. this results the decoding to PCM with the wrong channel mapping for AML-M8AUDIO (using the TrueHD channel check from Samples - Official Kodi Wiki test file)
I suspect the problem might be related to using PCM over ARC to feed the AVR (mecool => lg tv => sony avr). when connecting the box directly to the AVR (mecool => sony avr => lg tv), PCM decodes properly. was hoping to not have to switch the devices as the AVR cannot handle 10bit HDR video.
If channel settings = 2, than than you should get DTS & Dobly Digital Not PCM!
my AVR does not support Dolby HD/TrueHD Atmos 7.1 through ARC passthrough. unfortunately, when turning off passthrough, the channel mappings are wrong: for any speaker configuration >5.0 there's no sound from the front speaker.
the debug log seem to indicate that the front center (FC) and subwoofer (LFE) are switched:

this is on a 905x (mecool m8s pro plus) using the 8.90.4 build.
Don't turn off passthrough, just disable DTS-HD & Atmos in Kodi Audio settings;)
2re Did you find a solution for the no adapters?
No.
Gave the devel a test on my KI pro. Playing 4K CPU ~100% stuttering playback and almost none responsive to remote or ssh. TVHeadEnd reports no Adapters.:)
ps. 8.90.4 works perfect;)
I Can recommend the MeCool KI Pro or a Nexbox A95X. The Nexbox don't have GBit, so you need an USB digimadoo for that;
To every body complaining about picture quality on amlogic, Take a look at this;
VID_20180223_232458.mp4 - Google Drive
Recorded with my mobile phone on a Samsung 65" 4k HDR TV. Is it Good (no) But if you look at the resolution info when i press the info button, It's fantastic
FYI, The devel version don't play 2160 420 10bit 60hz.
Display MoreI agree 100%.
The more I read the "Pick the right Kodi box" thread at the Kodi forums, the more confused I get The information is scattered all over the thread.. and some bad advice like recommending the S912 boxes while they still have issues with subtitles causing jerky video.
Just some simple things like two cases of settings:
1) I have a Sxxxx box and a 4K TV that supports HDR, what settings are recommended if I playback both HDR and SDR video?
2) I have a Sxxxx box and a FullHD TV that does not support HDR, what settings are recommended if I playback both HDR and SDR video? Are there any special cases in which I should change the settings?
Then the Netflix etc. things, how to set things up in a step-by-step manner.
For example, I personally cannot answer those top two questions and I'm tech savvy
Well question 1. is simple. 444,10bit, Activate "Adjust display refresh rate" Set GUI resolution to 1080 or 2160 (depends on your TV profiles capabilities) AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING OF ALL, CALIBRATE YOUR TV!!!
Display MoreIt makes no difference if I put it in bold or even in font size 36, there are still people who will still disregard it or not bother to read whatever I put.
When I made the .4 release both myself and afl1 had tested the changes for a couple of weeks before hand and I knew it would cause issues for some people and there would be a lot of moaning but had everyone been using a 8.2 dtb rather than ancient ones then the dtb would automatically update, this is why we have le-dt-id inside of them which you know about.
What this forum needs is a proper FAQ thread or Wiki page but I don't have the time to maintain something like that, it takes up enough of my time just replying and making builds, it takes 2+ hours for each rebuild of each device and even testing minor changes is still a good 15-30mins for each change, bearing in mind I also have a full time 40hrs/week job and a personal life and when people can't bother to spend just a few minutes to find the answer it is infuriating given the amount of time I pour into things.
I can see why most of the developers are burnt out and why attitudes of some developers suck.
On a side note The Coolest HeresJohnny the latest devel release allows you to change the chroma/colour space without having to mess about with commands in autostart.sh
I would rather add the options to Kodi than direct people to SSH on to their devices and hard code things into scripts, little things like that are relatively easy to add.
/sys/module/di/parameters/bypass_all
/sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/attr
/sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/output_rgb
Are all adjustable in the latest devel release and I plan to add support for changing /sys/module/di/parameters/nr2_en and also the CPU governor in the next one.
Don't forget xxx,12bit;)
Not possible I'm afraid unless you switch to a different theme or you can modify the default theme but it is more trouble than it is worth.
This is normal, Amlogic implementation of HDR is bad, nothing can be done, that's what you get for buying a $25 box.
I Don't agree with that, I have several S905X & a S905D box, and calibrated my TV using a Spyder5, and the HD/UHD/HDR is superb;)
Hello
How can I had wifi drivers offline (without internet)?
It dosn't recognize my usb wifi card, LibreELEC 8 worked
