I added the file into the .update folder and rebooted the box, I get the logo screen and text saying files being unpacked and installed, system being installed etc, lots of OK's then it reboots and nothing, just a black screen

what am i doing wrong? Luckily I have a working 8.0.2a on USB which i roll back to but I'm just confused as to why it says everything is OK but then fails

I've also tried to enforce recovery using the 'toothpick' method (there is a hole on the bottom of the Beelink) but I'm not sure if the switch is broken but I fail to hear/feel any movement

any advice help very much appreciated, thanks

Is it possible to do any thing about the audio always reports 7.1 with multi channel PCM? This really messes up my AVR's upmix to 5.1.2 .

You could probably run a script when kodi starts, that execute the command "systemctl stop kodi"

If your tv has more than 1 hdmi port, you should be able to connect your box to port 1 and the sound bar to port 2, and somewhere in your tv settings you can set the sound from port 1 to be rooted out through port 2.

When you say locked, do you mean you can't select other resolutions or that that thy don't work?

I Have a LG BP50NB40 and with the .cfg file from your post blu-ray plays fine, but not with both usb's connected to the box (NexBox A95X). I have to use a second power source because my box can't deliver enough power, so if you've tried this, than i would guess it's a driver issue. Maybe your drive isn't supported.

... And I think the Region in Kodi-Settings-Player-Discs also must be set

I think this one has a split usb cable (extra power) . Are both connected to your box? If so, try connecting the power one to an other usb-power source.

What's the name of your blu-ray player?

Just tested the vlc... source, and spider-man 2 blu-ray, works fine. Without the .cfg file. "Failed to play error"

After running this command, everything worked fine for me.

Do you have sync playback to display on in kodi player settings?

You could try "wait for network before starting kodi" In the LibreELEC Configuration addon.
