Box is an F2 S905X2 4gb ram 32gb mmc
Doesn't boot, doesn't load libreelec....tried loads of builds mainly balbes.....
I can get it to load coreelec from an SD card BUT only if I hold the reset button in EVERY BOOT, purpley screen then release
After it has booted I can ssh in and see thisCode
cat /proc/partitions major minor #blocks name 7 0 198356 loop0 179 0 30535680 mmcblk0 179 1 4096 mmcblk0p1 179 2 65536 mmcblk0p2 179 3 1146880 mmcblk0p3 179 4 8192 mmcblk0p4 179 5 8192 mmcblk0p5 179 6 24576 mmcblk0p6 179 7 8192 mmcblk0p7 179 8 8192 mmcblk0p8 179 9 8192 mmcblk0p9 179 10 16384 mmcblk0p10 179 11 16384 mmcblk0p11 179 12 16384 mmcblk0p12 179 13 16384 mmcblk0p13 179 14 2048 mmcblk0p14 179 15 32768 mmcblk0p15 179 16 262144 mmcblk0p16 179 17 131072 mmcblk0p17 179 18 1572864 mmcblk0p18 179 19 131072 mmcblk0p19 179 20 26875904 mmcblk0p20 179 96 4096 mmcblk0rpmb 179 64 4096 mmcblk0boot1 179 32 4096 mmcblk0boot0 179 128 31260672 mmcblk1 179 129 524288 mmcblk1p1 179 130 30732288 mmcblk1p2
Is this symptomatic of a knackered bootloader?
Is there anyway to rewrite mmcblk0 the internal flash?
the memory chip is kmrx10014m if that helps
Any of these builds work on a Nexbox A95X or an F2 with S905X2? that's got an AP6255 if that means anything...
I've used balbes builds in the past but now I can't get anything working on either of them!
OR anyone recommend a new box for like cheap?
What's a rockchip RK3328 like? I saw one of them with 4gb for dirt cheap on ali.....I know I don't need 4gb it just sounds good
Or I might just have to repurpose my PI4???
this CEC issue is weird and comes and gos with different builds
ie I have a Nexbox A95X, I was using a 'arm-all' build from 2 months ago, just updated to the latest armv8 build and it doesn't work again....
And I had a build about 3 months or so ago where it didn't work.....
Anyway I need a VPN client so can't use these builds it appears.....
Anyone recommend another build?
zomboided any plans to make this work with kodi 19?
Or does anyone know how to get openvpn working with balbes150 builds?
Actually that's only half the battle cos then I need to get iplayer working too
On s905x2 there are two wired network options, for proper operation you need to use the correct DTB.
I tried different DTBs but the wired still wouldn't work.....F2 S905X2 box....
Anyway I'm keen to get the wireless working! With your latest build it performs better than before but still drops off the network; appears to drop off quicker when 'under load'. Any way I can troubleshoot this?
It's not a hardware issue cos it works fine under coreelec but I've got libreelec installed in the emmc now and I'd like to run with your system if possible
balbes150 something weird going on with networks here
s905x2 box, wired doesn't work, wireless works sporadically then totally drops off the network...
s905x box, wireless doesn't work at all, wired looks like it works really well!
Edit: worked out why I couldn't connect to the boxes to use 'file sharing', need to go into 'LibreELEC services', minimum service needed is SMB1...sounds a bit backward but probably a linux thing, SMB=M$ cac, let's have NFS file sharing instead
I've booted the latest image on my A95X F2 (s905x2) with 4Gb of RAM / 64 Gb of emmc. The first issue is the amount of RAM: only 3Gb are available.
Worst, Kodi crashed when I try to play a x265 video with hardware acceleration activated. I've tried all g12a dtb with no success.
Could you please tell if it is possible to change the hardware acceleration driver?
Which video sample are you using? I'd like to try it....
Check this option to work with eMMC.
the wireless doesn't work with this........and the wired only works if you disable the wireless
also the reboot doesn't work.....I see the linux output on the screen, gets to 'Reached target Reboot.' but it doesn't reboot....
Got a Nexbox A95X that was running 8.90.5 (it had been auto updating for months...)
I noticed it hadn't auto updated so manually dumped the 8.90.6 into the update folder, updated OK, rebooted but box hung at initial flashscreen
Anyway managed to get it back using the latest devel image, burn to sd card, paperclip trick, installtointernal so all good just confused as it why it went t!ts up...
Thanks to all the developers who give their time for these great builds
I have a couple of S905 boxes and started playing with a DVB-T2 stick
With kszaq's build on a 'X95mini' box the tuner gets automatically recognised, see here....

But with this 8.90.1 build on a Nexbox A95X the stick doesn't get detected. Any ideas?
Running LE on a Pi zero W with LG remote so can't activate the context menu
i want to have a shortcut on the main screen to the attached USB drive
Anyway I can do this manually?
How can I stop and start the VPN from an ssh session?
