Anyone using Kszaq's Retroarch build can update to the latest v. 1.34 by replacing the current binary located in /storage/.kodi/addons/emulator.tools.retroarch/bin/ with this one. It has a sweet new animated background ribbon. It ends up looking just like a PS3 dashboard.
Dont forget to run chmod +x /storage/.kodi/addons/emulator.tools.retroarch/bin/* after copying the new file.

Hi all,I'm using Libreelec 7.0.1. Audio is played on a bluetooth audio speaker, which is paired to Libreelec. That works fine.
If I start an emulator, sound does not work. Is this due to the missing support for bluetooth speakers in retroarch/etc or am I just too stupid to set it up?
You need to change your audio driver in Retroarch to Pulse audio. Then it will output to your bluetooth while in-game.

Mk808b Pro :
I would bet that this is the S905 that kszaq is working on.

Bugfix release:
7.0.1.4 7.0.1.4Commits from 7.0.1.3 to 7.0.1.4: Comparing 7.0.1.3...7.0.1.4 · kszaq/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub
Kernel commits from 7.0.1.3 to 7.0.1.4: Comparing 83ba060...543ae83 · kszaq/linux · GitHubChangelog:
- reverted old CPUfreq table to fix stability issues
- default CPU governor is now interactive for better overall performance
- fixed (some) CEC disconnection errors
Known issues:- V3_1 board cannot wake up from suspend/power off by pressing remote power button (u-boot bug)
- 29.97 progressive videos may stutter
- power LED on not officially supported boxes may not work as intended (too many boards to support them with a single build)
- no HD-Audio passthrough and multichannel audio output
- DVB support is experimental, some USB DVB tuners don't work at all
An extra note: with this release reported CPU temperature may be a bit higher due to a small change in calibration code - this is nothing to worry about.Updated and the new cpu govenor is giving full performance as it should.. Thanks again!
psx and n64 emulation are at full speed which only happens at 1.4Ghz so I can tell this "Interactive" CPU setting is good.

I have been reading here about the Armv7 CPU govenor settings :
Android CPU governors explained | Android Forums
Interactive sounds like it would be the best.

mwp1 sammaz Thanks for testing and I'm glad that it finally works! Can you please do a one more test for me, confirm that both WiFi and Bluetooth work in this build: le_8723bs_bt_test_02
I made a small clean-up for 8723BS drivers and need to confirm that they still work before pushing changes to release build. I don't have a 8723BS device so I rely on you with this.BT and Wifi are working well on this build also. Thanks again!
Here is a Dmesg of the new test build working well if needed.

It worked for me in my MXV box!
I connected a Bluetooth phone and it worked great. I also connected a PS4 controller, although I couldn't use it.
Thanks kszaq, you are the man!I read your post and then retried and you are right! It is working ...I just had to remove my old saved devices (I had been using a USB BT adapter) and re-connect them.

Hello kszaq, I want to try this cec daemon. How the procedure to do that?
Maybe you could add a README.txt file in the libcec_daemon folder with this procedure. Thanks!1. Install the new addon
2. Put this line in autostart.sh :
3. Turn "off" the CEC control in System\Peripherals
4. Reboot
A request to people with Realtek 8723BS chip: can you test if Bluetooth works with this build: le_8723bs_bt_test_01It is working!
I had to remove my old devices and everything is working great now! Beer donations incomming

Hi, guys!
Can you tell me how to install RetroArch to LibreELEC 7.0.1.2 for MXQ (V3_1)?1. Install Kszaq's Retroarch build found here :
emulator.tools.retroarch-7.0.2.zip2. There are many Retroarch tutorials on the net. Start here :

sammaz Here's libcec-daemon compiled from the repository you linked: tools.libcec-daemon-7.0.2.zipI noticed that it doesn't map all the buttons needed. For the time being please confirm whether it works or not for you.
It works ! It works! It works!
OMG!
Now I am able to enter the retroarch XMB menu from Kodi and navigate\play games\and exit back to kodi without loosing CEC control!!!!!
This is Unbelieveable! I will shoot a video of it in action in a few minutes...
Thanks so much...video comming shortly.
Edit : Plaing Super mario bros. with my CEC TV remote works flawlessly ! HAHAHA Since CEC only hears one input at a time, games like pacman work well from the couch.

Crashed on my RPi as well with git version 5cbaf79. There's been a few commits since then, including a crash fix, so might be worth another shot. Worked great on Generic.Tested your RPi core on my mk808b plus with no luck.
-
Its a core called "Craft"
GitHub - libretro/Craft: A simple Minecraft clone written in C using modern OpenGL (shaders).
There are tags in the makefile for RPi and other s805 devices.
Can someone compile this libretro core for testing? I want to see how it performs.

This means that CEC driver works well and there is a bug in libcec-daemon... not really my field of expertise. Unless there's some updated version of libcec-daemon available, I won't be able to make it work with your TV.
I found a branch of libcec-daemon that shows as working well because it links itself also as a keyboard...That will make it more universally suppported :
GitHub - diablodiab/libcec-daemon
Shown in this video he has it working on RPi...so i think it will work for us.
my-setup-and-perhaps-some-inspiration-for-new-recalbox-functionality
Can you try to compile a new version using his sources?

Updated...everything running great. I did notice the CEC settings for repeat and timeout. Very nice.

I finally did the heatsink mod after realizing that I was hitting thermal threshold while playing with retroarch cores. The unit does not throttle anymore...1.5Ghz all day baby!
N64 and PSX emulation are now perfect using Mupen64_plus and pcsx_rearmed cores.
I ordered this pack :
