Maybe some issue in 4.9+ kernel prevent init driver for S2-36x0. See kernel log. But anyway STB0899-based devices have very bad linux support, at least for DVB-S2. Driver based on early STm code (2005/6) and nobody who have interest fix it

Does anyone have the same issue with this S2 v7 card?Everyone DD always beyond mainstream

the only problem is that the TV frontend produces only artifacts (green-pink stripes and blocks, audio is OK), reported on other threads. This common problem for stb0899 demod driver, usual for DVB-S2.
Signal statistic for stb0899 was fixed in my media_tree repo

First, thanks for all your hard work so far . I have a TBS6982 that has been working OK with the 7.0.2-dvb drivers-1.66 generic image using CrazyCat drivers. I tried one of your more recent test images and the tuners were fine but the infrared input on the card didn't work. I guess the LE 7.95.1 beta will work for the tuners but does it include the IR driver? If not will your build continue to include the IR driver once you release it for LE 8.0? If not I suppose I will have to buy a generic USB IR receiver.Open-source saa716x driver not support IR-RC. Semi-closed source linux-tbs-drivers deprecated and discontinued.
