Ok, thanks for confirming. It was hard to tell without access to the patch.

A question. Does just reverting the offending commit fix this?
This feels like one of those rippling side effect issues that we don’t want to pull on coming into final beta.
-
Sounds pretty much like this.
Sorry, but it's not like that at all.The issue in this thread is about samba version, not symlinks.

Correction. The min version of SMB supported can be changed in the LibreElec settings addon under Services->Samba->Minimum supported protocol.
No need to change the samba config file. -
I had the same issue you need to set the min protocol to NT1 to get it to work.
First follow this guide to create an samba config you can edit: Sharing additional folders from LibreELEC via SMB [LibreELEC.wiki]
Now add the following line to the end of the [global] section:
The run this to restart samba and it should work:

Just wanted to posted these for others who may have the same problem. Only tested on J5005 and N5000 chipsets, but should work for others.
For stuttering on video playback
Essentially forcing the GPU to max, any other setting has stuttering during playback. In ~/.config/autostart.sh enter the following on an N5000:
Code( echo 750 > /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:02.0/drm/card0/gt_min_freq_mhz ) & nohup script.sh &
And on a J5005:
Code( echo 800 > /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:02.0/drm/card0/gt_min_freq_mhz ) & nohup script.sh &
For graphical tearing issue which is random at top of screen
Then add 'i915.enable_fbc=0' just before ‘quiet’ as follows:CodeDEFAULT linuxPROMPT 0LABEL linux KERNEL /KERNEL APPEND boot=UUID=5B87-CA53 disk=UUID=351960dd-5a07-4493-8995-6745555e0519 i915.enable_fbc=0 quiet
And reboot!

Updated my Wetek HUB manually via a wget direct download in the .update folder... Things seem okay with 004.
What wget command did you use?

So I tried out the new Alpha, PVR with VU+ works perfectly for me. In the past I always had some channels that would not play correctly and could never pause live TV but I can now!
With regular file playback the issue I have is that occasionally I will get some stuttering but it goes away if I bring up any OSD. Strange
Happy to post whatever is needed if you point to where to do so.
Thanks for all the hard work
P.S. Running an Intel N5000 with Gemini Lake

Arghh... OK, that's a new Kodi bug introduced in #0614, which has now been reverted with PR14049.
I've uploaded #0614c which includes PR14049 as a replacement for #0614b: libreelec-generic.x86_64-9.0-milhouse-20180615154459-#0614c-g83c436f.tar
This is the patch I'm testing, which applies on top of the existing 4.17 branch: http://ix.io/1doe
Question. How do I get this tar into an img.gz file? I have a new MSI Cubi N with the J5005 chip.

Have you fixed this problem? I have the same situation with LibreELEC (Krypton) v8.0.1 MR for my Odroid C2. I also enabled "wait for network" but it is not the solution.
Are you using the librelec wait for network or the Kodi one? The libreelec one worked for me.
Here's the answer from the GitHub page for the add on: Here

I get this error dialog on Kodi on boot after installing and configuring the addon.
"PVR clients: VBox TV Gateway PVR Client

Any ideas?

Hi,
Does anyone know if the Sonos addon is available in Libreelec?
It was in the official kodi repo I think but was using stock kodi at the time.
I don't see it in either 7.x or the 8.0 alphas.
Thanks
-
Force refresh the repo, the add-ons are thereThanks, wasn't aware I had to do that.
After installing the VBox TV Gateway PVR addon it fails to load on startup. If I disable and renable it once booted it works just fine.
Also, on the SMB issues finding WORKGROUP shares appears to be random. I have just gone back to hardcoding the IPs to get it to work.

Hi,
I don't appear to be able to install any PVR addons on thelLatest Krypton v7.90.009 ALPHA on a Wetek Hub. They are listed on the libreelec repo but nothing happens when you try to install. Other standard kodi plugins install and work without issue.
Let me know if there's a workaround and I'll start testing TV. All previous issues I've had (CEC, SMB etc.) have been resolved.
Cheers
Ross
