Exactly, althought it seems that some message is displayed it quickly vanishes and can't read what its saying.

Depending on the situation, it does actually work. By default, the update function is enabled.If you are on LE 7.0.2 stable, it will only upgrade to 7.0.3 and/or 8.0 final (both are not available [yet]).
If you are on LE 7.90.007 or earlier Alpha version, you should see an update message for 7.90.008.
If you are using an alternate update path, it all depends on the available updates via that path.
Thanks, im on the the 7.0.2. They should fix the check for updates now message.
There seems to be an option in LibreElec in the system options.
Does this work? When i press the check updates now it does not seem to do anything.
