Updated all S905 boxes, on Neo U1 and on M8S Pro+ everything is fine but on TX3 Mini I found some issues, maybe the dtb is wrong or hardver limitation, for Tanix I use dtb from here and if I watch a movie with Multi CH PCM the sound goes out perfectly, but I hear a constant sizzling sound, for ex. with this sample: LPCM7.1

Powering the box on/off with that remote only works on Android doesn't it? The power button on mine does nothing when pressed running LE on a U9, i might actually put up with the stupid clicky noise it makes when pressing buttons if power on/off worked
Powering the box on/off works on LE with A2 Lite and U1.
I have a mecool m8s Pro L, with LibreElec running from an SD card (and using the internal memory for storage)
The remote.conf seems to be working fine, and the controls are working within libreelec, however I can't power off. I had the harmony learn the original remote 'power' button, but it does nothing when the box is on.
Maybe I havent followed the insrtuctions well enough?
I use a Mecool remote from Harmony database (MecoolM8S Pro) and works great, I didn't learned any commands from the original remote.
Could you please confirm for me - I have an HDMI connection to my AVR from the KODI box using the ALSA HDMI device. I set the audio channels to 7.1 and enable passthrough plus all the options the receiver supports. Are you saying that the audio output channels should be set to 2.0?.
If you have movies with Multi CH PCM, ex. 7.1, and the audio output is set to 2.0, then there will be no 7.1 Multi CH PCM output in this case.

Install (create an SD card) LibreELEC-S912.arm-8.90.7-K.img.gz put into your box's SD slot, turn on your box, make primary setup, copy LibreELEC-S912.arm-8.90.8-K.tar to the update folder, reboot your box, that's all.
Updated to latest build, Inputstream Adaptive and RTMP are incompatible with this Kodi version.

Upgraded from 8.90.7, the GUI performance is better, I don't think if it is faster or slower but the speed is enough for me. software decoded playback is better, good direction to fix playback on S912 devices. (M8S Pro L)
I think "dropped frames with subtitles" issue is related to dropped frames issue when OSD is on. I do not know if this has been discussed here, but even more dropping causes any OSD menu.
Maybe yes, I also noticed that, it seems like the OSD is on other frame rate, but I'm not sure.

I'm seeing the possibility of some box s912. the MECOOL M8S PRO L Amlogic, came as a great attraction, for running NF in HD, however ... all reference I see to it is to be 10/100 port.
Only 100M port but it"s enough for 60-70Mbps 4K movies, if you want more speed, need to buy a USB-LAN Gigabit adapter.
Samba works great, no problem using my NAS, computer or mobile devices connecting from LibreELEC or inversely.
HDR works too.
For Mecool Pro L use remote.conf from this post, works great and in 8.90 builds no need to copy remote.conf, works great from the beginning.
