I can't get a freeze out of the one S905x box i have.
S905 MiniM8sPro , still random freeze. Rare, but it does happen.
I went to restore my data, using my addon and for the first time ever I am getting an error that is caused by LE I think.
Got me confused with your description.
You are trying to restore from a previous backup that you created from LE Settings. (Create System and Kodi Backup)
Or you used some unknown addon you call your addon ?
Tried the Backup and Update app method
Make a fake zip. Anything, a text file and zip it.
Copy it to a USB stick and insert it in the box.
With the LE Sd card inserted at the same time.
In android use the UPDATE APP and update pointing it to the fake zip as the update file to update from.
Follow the prompts to update.

Is this what will happen ? I'm curious as to when testing 32bit will be the only testing. Or is this going to happen with Stable Krypton Release.
Thanks for the reply. I have just tried that along with all the other gxbb_p200_2G device trees and they dont seem to boot. The p201 is the only one that has worked so far, but I only get 1GB ram not 2GB.
This build has been causing boot freezes for S905 Boxes and the fact your box boots with p201 device tree, has left me with no idea why this has happened.
You might have to do a fresh install of 7.0.2.009 (2016-11-06) and make sure you use device tree from that version.
Try the device trees that match 2gb ram and the speed of ethernet.(100 or 1Gbit) whatever yours is.
I am saying this as this boot freeze in 7.0.3.010 is not happening in 7.0.2.009
At least then you can find the right device tree without worrying about 7.0.3.010 being the possible problem.
If no device tree works using 7.0.2.009 then we at least know that is the issue.
Hi guys, Im currently using the latest dev build in .10 in 64 bit mode on my A95X S905X box - if I want to switch to 32 bit can i just drop the 32 bit .img file in the update folder over SSH and then reboot or do I need to do a fresh install?

I'm using the 64-bit version on my TX5 PRO 905X by running it from sd card.
If I clean my SD card and setup it to install the 32-bit version, can I skip the toothpick step? Is now my box already set to boot from SD first?

Just copy img.gz into update folder and re boot box
Note on 32-bit build: If you want to switch to 32-bit build, you need to clean your addon cache first:
rm -rf /storage/.kodi/addons/packages/*
, after updating force refresh every repository you have and reinstall all binary addons. If you don't know what it is, you probably don't want to switch or shouldn't do it - make a clean install instead. The same note applies to restoring backup from 64-bit to 32-bit build and vice versa.
By the way, do you find this box is really slow loading thumbnails & fanart using LE SD Card version?
I've installed to internal because this box had the slowest loading of the above i have ever seen on any box I've tested.

Insert thick paperclip or small tool in AV jack and see if you can feel reset button at the bottom.
You should not use a conductive tool to insert into electrical products.
A toothpick is the easiest and safest.

Lets just say between 90% - 99% just had 2 freezes HA! I have to laugh 
I have the same issue with Mini M8S II (2G/8G).
You have an S905X Chip ?
Something not right. I'm not sure if you're the first to have this freeze issue with that chip.

The boot ups are now 90% working.

It's as if after the install the box has taught itself how to boot up.

You may want to use the DEV build as it will help sort out the freeze.
We know the 7.0.3.010 freezes a lot on some S905 Boxes but we need to know progress on the Dev Builds.
