Just downloaded and installed 8.0.1j to my MiniMX. I'm using a Hauppauge Win TV HD Dual (Dual DVB-T/T2/C tuner) but sadly the CrazyCat patch introduced here : em28xx: Extended WinTV DualHD DVB & ATSC support. · crazycat69/linux_media@e3ed099 · GitHub isn't in the driver build currently being used ? (It was added on Jan 5th I think)
As a result only one tuner is available, not two? Is it possible to add dual tuner suppot from this patch (or by using a newer Crazy Cat build)? The LibreElec 8.0.1 MR Raspberry Pi 2/3 release has it implemented.
(More discussion of this tuner here : thread-2867.html )

Hi everyone. I got the sunvell t95x (2g/8g version) and I tried to install Libreelec (I am new to this so I hope I did nothing wrong), but I cannot seem to find any wifi networks. When I go to settings-->Libreelec, there is nothing next to the connection tab.
I tried both gxl_p212_2g.dtb and gxl_p212_2g_nand.dtb
but none of them changed anything.
Can someone help me?
I cannot boot to android as I changed the bootvideo and a line in the build.prop file in the folder system/etc and since then I just get a yellow flickering screen when it tries to boot to android, so Libreelec is my final solution before sending sunvell t95x to the garbage .If for some reason the internal WiFi isn't supported - rather than bin the box, a cheap external WiFi dongle that IS supported would be a way out...

For DVB audio is used only MP2 or AC3 in 2.0 or 5.1, some providers are testing AAC.Are you talking about one specific country?
If not then AAC audio is in use, and has been for years, on DVB-T and DVB-T2 broadcasts in many European countries, and has long since ceased testing.
All Freeview HD channels (on-air since around 2009) in the UK are using AAC 2.0 or 5.1 - BBC One HD, BBC Two HD, ITV HD, C4 HD, C5 HD etc. on DVB-T2.
In Norway, AAC has been used since the launch of their digital platform. Similarly Ireland and New Zealand use AAC.
In most countries, MP2 audio is used for SD MPEG2 services on DVB-T that launched in the late 90s and early-to-mid 00s, with either MP2, AC3 (Dolby Digital), E-AC3 (Dolby Digital +) or AAC used for SD and HD services that use H264 or H265 video encoding that launched more recently.

Sorry - meant to update. Not running LibreElec for my TV Headend backend - but I installed 64bit Ubuntu Server 16.10 on an x86 box, followed CrazyCat / media_build — Bitbucket instructions, and my WinTV-Dual HD is working OK with both tuners. I haven't massively stressed it yet - but was pleased it works.
(I also rebuilt my kernel to allow >8 tuners (as I have 9 and the default maximum in the standard kernel is
)

Just tried building crazycat media_build from here : CrazyCat / media_build — Bitbucket
to my existing custom 3.19.0-61-generic kernel (which I built to increase the number of DVB devices over the normal maximum of 8 - as we have 9 muxes in London and I wanted a DVB-T/T2 device per mux)
When I plug in the Win-TV Dual HD I get the following dmesg errors : [ 28.529604] usb 1-3: new high-speed USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd [ 2 - Pastebin.com
I'm assuming this is because I have too old a kernel?

Does this add proper dual DVB-T2 support for the Win-TV Dual? If so - that's great news. It's currently available reduced on Amazon in the UK.
Any idea how long before the drivers appear in LibreElec x86 builds?

For info - if others are looking whilst the chewitt.libreelec.tv server is down there is a CM3 build here : LibreELEC-Slice3.arm-7.95.1.img.gz or LibreELEC-Slice3.arm-7.95.1.tar for the tar
-
noggin The server is down (or just no longer on the interweb) at the moment - will be back as soon as we can locate someone to fix it!Thanks Milhouse

Don't suppose anyone has a recent build stored locally they could provide a link to do they? Would love to try my CM3 in my Slice. No worries if people don't have time, or if this isn't 'the done thing'. -
Trying to download an image from Index of /slice/ linked to in post 1 and it's timing out. Other dowload areas like releases.libreelec.tv are OK.
Can anyone advise?

4:2:2 H264 is software decode-only on pretty much every consumer platform (including x86). I have a Haswell i5 NUC that can do a reasonable job with 1080i25 (aka 1080/50i) 4:2:2 H264 at 38Mbs including a YADIF 2x deinterlace. (It used to struggle until ffmpeg improvements in H264 multithreading were made)
-
Same here. Especially noticeable with bright (red) colors.Just a minor annoyance though.
Sadly most of what I watch is 1080/50i (aka 1080i25) and I find the artefacts unwatchable (the S905 has a great deinterlacer - it's a pity this is borked at the moment) Will need to find a build that doesn't have this fault.
-
I'm sure others have posted this but with 7.02.007 on a 1G/8G MiniMX (S905) there are odd issues with 1080i H264.
I'm playing a BBC One HD off-air DVB-S2 recording which is H264 (MBAFF) with 1080i25 (aka 1080/50i) motion and output at 1080p50 (aka 1080/50p). It looks to me like the chroma is being deinterlaced to 25p not 50p, though the luminance is being deinterlaced to 50p, either that or the chroma and luma are offset.
Saturated areas of colour on an interlaced source judder with this build.
Everything looks fine on material shot 25p (drama, documentary etc.) but fast motion interlaced content shows the issue.
