I am trying to figure out an easy way to remotely access my LE box.
I saw Inadyn in the repo. So I signed up at duckdns.org for an account. So now I have xyz.duckdns.org as the domain.
In the addon configuration I select [email protected] as the provider
For username I use the email address I signed up with, password is the token, alias is the domain without duckdns.org which is 'xyz'. SSL is turned on and I save the settings. My webserver is at port 8080. So if I type xyz.duckdns.org:8080 at the browser I cant get the web interface. I tried forwarding the port too.
Btw once the connection goes through, how does one access the shares on the iBox and copy to/ from the box etc. Do I need to run a FTP server?
Just saw the mention of 'Docker' around here and sounds exciting! Does that mean a lot of programs that were earlier incompatible be now ported to LE??
I don't know why there has not been substantial interest about this but why is there no Logitech media server for LE (or OE) ? WOuldn't it be super cool if your LE box is the one stop shop for your kodi plus headless multiroom music? It can be used as a LMS client anyway using x squeeze then why leave out the server part and create the need for another machine on the network? In my own example, my music resides on board my LE box. LMS as a service would be extremely handy, docker or otherwise!
How to install makemkv on LE?
I am assuming first I have to install lib.multimedia.makemkv-8.0.0 and then makemkv
I'm running LE version 7.0.2
When I try to install lib.multimedia.makemkv-8.0.0 I get the error -
The dependency on os lib.makemkv version 8 could not be satisfied or something.
If you scroll down further there is a direct downloads dropdown, select the version using that, then scroll down to the section that says, "Manual Update / Migration from OpenELEC (.tar)" and download that.
Yeah but the files say RPi and arm in the name and not generic, so was unsure.

Hi, I am confused which version of LE to download. I am currently using OE generic x64 Jarvis. I am confused seeing the Windows, Linux, Mac builds - is this ELEC or Kodi??
