Unfortunately no because it causes issues for many people. I will see if it can be enabled as an option.

My tests show only one issue - it doesn't work on my devices with resolution 3840 × 2160 (no waking up).
If I command from Harmony, you're right, I can learn to Harmony the two power buttons
You can use one button for power on and off. Register second remote for using with Harmony and learn power button from the original one.

Thanks to all three...On SDR TVs it looks wrong, washed-out black and compressed gamma...I'd hoped the s905x boxes would do HDR->SDR and BT2020->BT709 conversion but they don't, they just pass them out to HDMI with descriptors for the TV to take care of it...so, if you happen to aquire or start accumulating some HDR and UHD material for, say, future switch to UHD HDR display, there is no way to watch them on legacy displays now...
I use S905 and S905X boxes with SDR 8bit TV. HDR 10bit content looks better on S905 (I would say quite normal). I suppose there is just a trimming to 8 bit and no HDR to SDR conversion. But why does it look watchable?
Perhaps it would be worth checking if you get the same buffering issue using Android kodi, to rule out a hardware problem? I use two MiniMX boxes myself and have no problem at all. Mind you, they may have different HW to yours, even though they have the same name
No issues with MiniMX as well. Even 4k with average bitrate ~60-70Mb/s without buffering (in peaks more than 100Mb/s) via PlexKodiConnect plugin (using direct path)
suspend / wake up works fine on my S905X Mini M8S II
It works partially on this device. Device doesn't wake up with 4k resolution and CEC ignores suspend/wake up events.
Suspend works well with 720p and 1080p resolutions. But with 2160p the box doesn't wake up.

My first S905X Chip box arrived today - (C) by kostaman- and it works like a charm.
It is a MINI M8S II, 2GB/16GB, S905X box very similar to MINI MX or MINI MX-G.
The remote is way better (more (soft rubber) button with no clicking sound)
The tooth pick method worked to install the latest developer LE.
Everything work: Auto framerate, HD audio, 4k playback, you name it.
The android ROM version is 107 (2016.10.22)
Does suspend work on this device?
