I have my tuner set up with the most recent build of tvheadend. I'm scanned all the predefined muxes and came up with like 400+ channels. However, only 6 of them work. A few of them show as unencrypted but don't work and then the great majority of them are shown as encrypted. However, with my tv tuner, I get about 125 channels. I get them with the coaxial cable directly into the back of my tv (without a cable box). Anyways, I know there are a number of encrypted channels I'm not subscribed to, however i should be able to get all those unencrypted channels. Any suggestions? I have suddenlink cable if that matters.

Try getting DVB tools and do a scan with that to see if you get anything so we can say it's a TVH problem or hardware.

Just google DVB tools on google not sure if I'm allowed to link to other forums here but there are plenty of tutorials showing how to run a manual scan.

    Hope this helps.

Got it working where it scanned the muxes and detected various channels. Now my problem is that only 5 of the channels I actually have will play (abc, cbs, nbc, fox, pbs). However, I have about 100+ unecrypted channels through basic cable (suddenlink) that I get when I plug the coaxial directly into my tv that has a clear qam tuner. Any ideas how to get the rest of those channels to show up and be playable. I did get like 400 encrypted channels during the scan as well.

I'm stuck and I'm not sure where to go for help. I have the latest stable libreelec on my chromebox. I have the WinTV-HVR 950Q. I'm using tvhdheadend 4.0. I am able to see the adapter in tvheadend and I enabled it. I'm trying to get my unencrypted cable channels. I've tried all the pre-defined muxes but everytime it scans, every possible channel fails. Is there someone who can help me figure this out?

I'm trying to use PVR on my setup which is a asus chromebox running the latest stable LibreELEC. I have tvheadend 4.0 installed on my box and I'm able to get the gui up on my desktop but the tvheadend gui will not recognize my tuner which is the Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD. I'm trying to run basic cable through it. I see now that this tuner is not on the list of compatible tuners. That being said, before I return it, I was wondering if there is some way to get it work, or determine whether my htpc is even recognizing it. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
