Is there a list of usb tuners that work with Amlogic boxes? Can anyone recommend one?I have a cheap usb hdstar and works ok my s905x. HD channels work great but some of the sd channels have the odd glitch for me using latest kszaq build. AlexElec build also work but again the odd glitch.
I also have a wetek play 2 with raybuntu image and as you expect no problems all smooth.

Do you have a lot of roms? Are you loading it from the Kodi add-on ? It seems if you loading it from the add-on it shows a black screen for a bit ,then it loads .Sent from my Lenovo K50-t5 using Tapatalk
Not sure why its not working but it locks the WP2 and nothing is responsive and have to reset the box. I left it a few minutes but no change tried launching ES from addons and from the menu but same result. Im still using sx095re v1.4b from sd card and raybuntu on nand so its not really a problem just have to reboot from one to the other.

I've made the image, but it has some Libretro cores missing that I cannot compile on aarch64:
fuse-libretro, lutro, ppsspp (The standalone works fine) beetle-pcfx and picodrive.
here is the link: Dropbox - LibreELEC-WeTek_Play_2.aarch64-8.0-devel-20170327143124-r25613-g97f4fad.img.gz
Please note that I have not tested this, so please test it on an SD card, also, do not update the cores from the "core updater" menu as they will break the ones installed.
Hi I managed to do a quick test this morning before work and the image loads fine. Only problem is emulationstation shows a black screen and the WP2 locks up. Will test further later and check out the logs.
cheers

I've made the changes to Raybuntu's release, but I am unable to make the img but it sems everything compiles perfectly. once I get the image done I will upload it for you to test.
Thank you I look forward to it

It should be possible but I don't have it setup to be an add-on and unfortunately I do not have a Wetek play 2 to test it, but if you give me the link to the source code (github?) for the build you are using, I could make a build that you could test. is it Raybuntu's build?s
Hi yes Raybuntu and Codesnake create builds for wetek play 2.
Raybuntu has various builds but I find Krypton the most stable.

Hi tested your image on wetek play 2 and it works very well. Its a shame the wetek dvb driver is not included to watch satellite tv on kodi as that would be perfect for us wetek play owners.
Just wondering if its possible to copy over your setup of emulation station and retroarch to the weteks own version of kodi ?...may be as a tar package or through ftp
cheers

The select button is x on the keyboard and arrow keys to navigate.
Plug in a usb keyboard navigate to input and map your game controller.
Starting a game/rom you need to download and select the core first and then open your rom. -
Although it is great that we have a lot of people interested on this MOD to run RetroArch, I want to make sure this thread does not move into the wrong direction and become a RetroArch support thread. So I have news that many of you will hopefully enjoy:For the folks interested in running RetroArch on S905(X) devices:
- I have created a new addon which contains all the 32 bit arm libraries required to run the 32bit arm retroarch binary on S905(X). Such addon, combined with the latest Retroarch addon from here should give you a working Retroarch solution for S905(X) without the need of the MOD discussed on this thread. It is a cleaner solution much less intrusive to LE and should (hopefully - could not fully test it yet) work across all builds and S905(X) devices. Such solution is being discussed on this thread.
I recommend you try such solution for RetroArch and we keep this thread more focused on supporting other 32 bit binaries. Also, I will be updating the first post later today to mention the same as well as update the list of available builds with the MOD (including new ones for the 7.9 latest alpha builds I am creating now).
Great work with the addons I also ran your script today on Ubuntu and successfully created the SYSTEM + md5 in /target for latest 7.90 build 2016-11-09.

I am glad to hear that. Since I am not touching the kernel in my MOD, the least intrusive (although riskier) way to apply this MOD is by directly replacing the SYSTEM file on the fat32 partition via windows (if using USB or SD card installation).
But the update from tar file should have worked for you, as it did for saunderez. Maybe it is something tied to your setup. Do you mind sharing what device you have and how much RAM and ROM?
Hi its a Netbox A95X 2GB ram CPU s905x 16gb storage. I used custom firmware on the nand 'TX5 Pro' and Libreelec runs from a 16gb SD card.

The pictures helped rule out a few things. It seems the update process is not able to recognize and/or copy the SYSTEM from the .update folder to the Flash partition. I will have to look into further this evening and see if anything has changed for the 7.9 version around how the squashfs is packaged (compression used, etc.).
Meanwhile, if you can get your system back working on the alpha 7.9 version via USB or SD (not NAND), one thing you can try is just drop the SYSTEM file from link below directly into the first partition (fat32 partition which mounts as /flash in libreelec - best to be accessed from Windows) and then try to boot libreelec. That will help eliminate some possible causes with the update package. Please use this SYSTEM (and not the one from the tar file): ?4l3cj8c9czvnkuk

The binary installation was running without any problems. What was my mistake?
Any help would be very appreciated....Hi first I installed the Gamestarter v2.5 OLE addon this will install retroarch and advanced launcher.
After install and reboot I FTP to /storage/.kodi/addons/script.gamestarter/resources/bin/
and replace retroarch with the s805 retroarch binary and then change permissions with chmod 775. Then run advanced launcher from ProgramsSo far I test FBA Mame and Psx Snes and all runs very well on my s905x and wireless xbox 360 controller. Now just scraping artwork fanart etc

Hi has anyone got emulators running on the latest build ?
