Sorry I'm stuck again, my box is an Alfawise H96 pro+ 3g 32g running nougat 7.1 could you please direct me to the device tree download for my box, if there is one.
Many thanks.
Simon.
from Index of /s912/8.2/device_trees/1Gbit_Ethernet/
But that is for the latest version.
Please describe exactly what you are doing & what happens when you boot
gxm_q200_3g.dtb must be renamed to dtb.img note the file extension change, then removing original device tree from root of sd card, put dtb.img into the root of the sd card.
what version are you installing?
Thanks for the info, much appreciated.
Just one more thing could you give me a link to the correct file that I'll need to download?
From [HOWTO + FAQ] Install community builds on S905/S905X/S912 device
1. Before you install - choose a device tree
From [INDEX] LibreELEC community builds for Amlogic
8.0.2e (2017-07-04)
Downloads: Index of /s912/8.0.2e/ so download the *.img.gz
Device trees: Index of /s912/device_trees/ so, 1Gbit Ethernet
So, briefly, although it is in the instructions, using rufus Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way
Burn the *.img.gz file to a usb stick
then over writing the dtb file on the root of the usb stick, then rename the dtb file to dtb.img note the different file extension
then, using the pinhole method, as described in the instructions boot the device, you might need to try different usb ports.
Note, with my H96, the remote didn't work, so you may need to read instructions on how to change that, so search the forum for "remote conf"
Hi there.
Is there a step by step guide on how to install this on a sd card, for use with an Alfawise h96 pro plus?
Is this a double post?
[HOWTO + FAQ] Install community builds on S905/S905X/S912 device
Hi there.
Is there a step by step guide for installing this on an alfawise h96 pro plus, for someone that's still reading The Beno?
[HOWTO + FAQ] Install community builds on S905/S905X/S912 device
The Beno? or The Beano? or The Dandy?
Display MoreOk, here's what I have tried so far.
Installed the build with the correct device tree. The installed tvheadend 4.2 using zip install. SSH remote.conf to make the remote work.
On the Tvheadend web interface I enabled availink avl6862 tvb t device. Added a network using Australia Melbourne (tried generic as well)
Went back to devices and selected the network on the device. Force scanned the network which always returns a failed status for all mux.
Tried this entire procedure on 8.0 c , 8.0 e and now on 8.1 as well.
One observation is that while scanning the status on the device shows signal strength in 90%+ however SNA is always 0. Is that why the scans are always failing? Is there an issue with the firmware? Btw I have tried scanning channels on TV and on the android DTV app both work flawlessly so there are definitely no issues with the antenna signal.
There is more help on the Kodi forum, Setting up an easy Linux Kodi with Live TV (LibreELEC)
Obviously, you haven't installed it correctly to internal memory. Try to use another dtb (nand)
But, if it boots via usb, then the dtb must be correct?
Omg. Just ran cpu-z. It tunes out to be a rockchip3066. Is this chip as good as the s905x or have I been scammed? It said s905x on the box AND during boot.
Now we know the chipset, can I install libreelec?
Thanks for all your help
There is a version of FTMC for rockchip devices FTMC - FreakTab.com
Thank you for your reply. I have read the instructions that kszaq has posted. I forgot to mention that i own a KIII S905 and that i have installed LE in NAND. I am no longer booting via SD card and this is why i am asking. My ultimate goal is to have my ir remote operational again, ad my current airmouse (a non name chinese one) is not working properly.
Just stick the dtb.img in the update folder. Then reboot,
Not a solution to your issue, but can you setup NFS instead of SMB
There is a Rockchip versionof FTMC here FTMC - FreakTab.com
There
Hi there - I found no solution to install the remote.conf on libreelec? Can anybody give an instruction? I have the correct remote.conf for my Scishion V88 Pro and already installed LibreELEC V7.0.
Regards,
XStoneX
place
the remote.conf you have created in \storage\config
then reboot the device, bearing in mind the remote doesn't work unti after reboot
if there is another remote.conf file there already, back it up or rename it first
Try a different device tree? I don't know which one, sorry.
You don't need google, go to the link already provided,
[INDEX] LibreELEC community builds for Amlogic
the instructions are there, download the gz file for your device, I use rufus to create the image to the usb.

this one as you can see its 905.Its impossible to find firmware for it ive tried everywhere
Might have some luck on the Freaktab forum, if you haven't already tried
I have a H96 Pro, it is a S912 device not S905
[8.0.2d] LibreELEC 8.0 for S912
I run it from a usb, I think I had problems running from the microsd. I did have a problem with the remote, so had to modify the conf file, you will find it somewhere on the forum.

1. FYI, I'm using a Logitech Harmony One remote control with my Minix Neo U1, and since switching to LibreElec my play/pause/rewind/f.fwd stopped working. I noticed that these keys do however work with the original remote control so I figured I should use the Logitech remote software and remap my problematic keys. Play/Pause remapped to OK, Rewind to Left and F.fast to Right. Maybe this helps someone.
2. Question, Is anyone else having issues with Search within Kodi? I am able to watch series/movies, choose categories/genres/etc to find a show but just not a manual search - when I search there are no results. I tried the original android OS (by removing my SD card with LibreElec on) and searching but that also doesn't work. I've read that I must get an API key from themoviedb.org and then changing episodes.py, movies.py and tvshows.py. I've now got an API key but not sure how to access these 3 files to edit them. Help me Obi-Wan.
2.I had this problem, Not sure how offhand, but I set up global search, not sure how though, it might be an addon
Are there any benefits of installing to internal over sd card?
speed through the menus. But perhaps make sure you have a backup of android, just in case you ever want to go back.
